The TV documentary series called "60 Minutes, Australia", recently aired an expose on how Nigerian scammers working online are destroying lives in Australia. This footage included a dramatic raid on a 419 scam house filled with computers and scammers at work.

For those who wonder why Nigerians are treated like criminals wherever they travel on this planet, look no further than the effects of the Yahoo Boys internet scam artists.

Guy, indians dey hack DStv, they have fake video call app, they are the ones wiping senior citizens pension, doing lottery and btc scams. Huge money.
In china, they are hostels dedicated for scam activities like this, like a scam academy.

North Korean government has a section 39, dedicated for scamming and fraud. Hushpuppi laundered COVID funds for them. Read up on all these things. Nigerians are just casted because we tend to be very loud and skin politics too.

Scammers do exist and operate all over the world for sure, BUT those in Nigeria do constitute a far greater percentage of the general population than is the case anywhere else on the planet, with the possible exception of Jamaica, where lottery scam practitioners are numerous and prolific in their own crime wave.

Well you think so because only Nigeria arrests her youths and make the arrests public for all to see. I’m not holding brief for these dirty-looking and senselessly loud youths who call themselves yahoo boys but do you know that Nigeria is not even among the top three countries with the highest rates of internet scams? I’m not talking about all these cheap romance scams; I’m talking about advanced phishing, Business email compromise fraud (BEC), hacking (how many Nigerian youth sabi hack?) and many other cyber crimes. Why is it that it’s only Nigeria govt that’s fond of arresting and making public their prosecutions of these erring youths? The US government have been warning their citizen against giving out their sensitive information such as SSN and tax details to strangers but some are still defiant. I rarely hear of scenarios where the respective governments of the Philippines, China, India, SA, Brazil or Pakistan arrest their citizen for cyber crimes against foreigners (even if they are doing so domestically, they will never make them public tarnishing and rubbishing their global images as a result like Nigeria is foolishly doing presently)
The Nigerian government doesn’t realize that the more they carry on with this shameful act, the more the external communities keep seeing us as a country of scammers when in fact, we are no where near countries like the Philippines, Pakistan, India Brazil etc

Slaves weren't originally a trade or commercial activity everywhere in the world.

Slavery and slaves in society evolved in all parts of the world naturally in ancient time but Europeans commercialized their's during their feudal era (slaves were bought and sold in Europe as commercial activity which faded into and as the origin of capitalism) and they made it even worse when they created the Atlantic slave trade- the beginning of Capitalism. There was nothing called Atlantic or any form of commercial slave activity in Africa before the arrival of Europeans.

Cecero, a Roman statesman, once warned a colleague going to buy slaves in Western Europe to avoid British slaves because he said "British people are so dumb that they can't even make good slaves."

Not at all, I'm not sympathetic to scam. I simply made an observation, and also viewed the issue from the two relevant perspectives
