Check the FP, a drug warehouse burst by NDLEA to the tune of N5 billion in this same Amuwo Odofin by none else but the subject group here. What is thebpoint boasting about exploits with ill gotten wealth?
Now NDLEA will finish them one by one.

Not shocking one bit. There are a lot of them in Bogotá (Colombia). You’d have to wonder why they’re living there.

And the coast of Nigeria is the passage point for yayo to Europe and Asia.

Not Yoruba but from the Niger Delta.

This same madness is what made them slaughter you like fowls in Kano after thinking Sabo Garin is no mans land outside the authority of the Fulani Emirate long after the British lease ended and Sabo Garin returned back to the Emir.

Well_I know you can't try this nonsense in the SS. The lessons of abandoned property is why you avoid claiming rubbish there.

The only people who are tolerant and liberal to your arrogating claims and nuisance will wake up one day and chase you away from where you will have nowhere to return but your blighted yeast.

You don't know the level of intermarriage between Igbos and Yorubas, many of them are cousins and nephews. Forget all the online rants those 2 tribes hardly go physical against themselves because you may be harming an inlaw or auntie

What level of intermarriage? I would be shocked if it’s up to 5%. That’s me being generous.

Tutsis and Hutus had more intermarriages and it didn’t stop the massacre.

You and your folks need to learn how control your utterances and evolve. It seems you haven’t evolved and learnt anything from all trouble your big mouths put you through from the 50s. It’s 2023, evolve and stop talking too much about phantom claims until you get hurt. Igbos aren’t even emotionally built for pain.

Jews were doing the same thing in central/eastern Europe until Hitler came out nowhere and rallied Germans who have always been noble group of Europe from the shame of the fallout of WW1 to the massacre of Jews and for a last stand. Jews also intermarried with Germans in droves before the holocaust and they were thriving in German cities. Keep running your mouths and taunting people, you’ll learn the hard way and irrelevant intermarriage won’t save you.

I will never understand the need to always boast and exaggerate irrelevant things like these weird, immature, unintelligent and underachieving people called Igbos. These people just make Nigerians look bad everywhere in the world and they’re the sole reason why everyone hates Nigerians. They just don’t know when to shut up.

I was in South Africa recently on a trip and I was shocked they refer to Nigerians as ‘Jollof’ out there and most of them hate Nigerians. And it’s because of Igbos (according to them). It’s the same thing all over Africa, North America, South America and Europe.

You leave your region in droves for succour in other people’s region. However, rather than enjoy the relative peace that enables you to thrive without hindrance; it’s in the Igbo DNA to always taunt their hosts and act superior whilst trying to dominate them on their lands. That’s a form of undiagnosed mental illness and act of being suicidal.

Lebanese people own a lot of prime lands and bluechip businesses/investments all over Africa. But you’ll never hear them talk about it. Asians control the economy of East Africa and are the 2nd biggest land owners in South Africa after whites despite being less than 2% of the population. But you’ll never see them talk about it. Jews control all banks, media, sports, etc and they dominate the richest list in the world. But they never claim it and antisemitic to point it out. However, trust an Igbo to make noise like a town crier and claim he owns the pie once you let him bite a piece of the pie. Those who own a lot are comfortable in their own skin and there’s no need to brag about what you own.

Igbos need to be ashamed of themselves with all these non-existent lousy claims. You claim you own Lagos and there are more Igbos in Lagos than Yorubas, yet your culture is almost invisible in the state and generations of Igbos living there keep assimilating into Yoruba culture. So it’s either you have an inferior culture or you’re just a lousy irritant.

I don’t blame a lot of you, I blame the lazy Yoruba youths who keep allowing this type of disrespect. When market traders, drug dealers and inherent uneducated criminals keep believing they are more successful than you on your own turf, then you have to be lazy, unproductive and also very meek.
You said it all. The insensitivity and empty bragging over petty things is just too much. I have seen several of them bragging how they are more beautiful and have the most attractive physique because they have special genes. Yet most of the positive things Nigerians are hailed for all over the world are largely by other ethnic groups and most negative ones are largely made so by the Igbos.

I think their biggest problem is that the British colonists lumped them too fast with other civilized Nigerian groups rather than giving them time for social growth needed for human development and evolving naturally on their own. That’s why they lack the innate ability for social interaction.

By the time Nigeria was created, most of them were still living almost unclad in small settlements in the forest and the rest of them were slaves in the Niger Delta region. Compare that with other Nigerian groups like Yoruba, Binis, Nupes, Kanuris, Igalas, Hausas, Fulanis, Jukuns, Kanuris, etc. that already had kingdoms/empires and were living in urban settlements. That’s basically why they’re always the odd ones out in the mix.

The only civilized ones among them are the ones from Anambra area and those ones are a mix of Edo and Igala (look at the title Chimananda just won, “Odeluwa”, that’s an Igala word not Igbo). And that’s why Anambra Igbos always feel superior to the rest of them.

It’s 2023 yet they haven’t evolved. I guess it’s high time they gave them their own country and perhaps they’ll evolve there overt time by developing the needed growth internally. Nigeria is doing them a disservice and they’re like 2 stages behind the rest in human development. Western education and money can’t fix that, it has to happen naturally. They’re also doing Nigeria a disservice because their lack of inherent evolution is why they keep destroying the image of the country.

Igbos don't have any stronghold anywhere in Lagos.. most of the houses and mansions you see them building would be demolished when the time comes.

Every state has a master plan.. where you can build and where you can't The fact that you've neglected your home states to go and congest another state doesn't mean you won't leave when the real owners want to sanitize their land. Keep allowing miscreants sell lands to chop your money, don't go and develop your region.
Wisdom they say is profitable to lead, but same isnt the case for you lots.

Look at FCT now and check the demolitions going on.. nobody will compensate you when you lose everything.

You may not live to see when the time will come for your dream demolisation....bitterness and laziness is what caged your progressive thoughts.

I have noticed many Nigerians do not really know the Igbo aside from the few they see in their localities or those that sometimes travel to the east.

Those in Lagos also do not know them as their major base in Lagos is in the amuwo-odofin, Ojo areas.Which many lagosians I have come to realise do not visit as it is in the outskirts of Lagos.

I came to this area in the early 2000s,back then it was a scanty backwater area, only fg built Festac and satellite were in the area

The area was a bush.

Forward 22years later. The whole area is filled with mansions and businesses dominated almost entirely by igbos.

The area as expanded beyond recognition and it's one of the most developed area of Lagos despite government neglect.

I realise many lagosians aren't familiar with this area also.

I tell you I have seen what gradual progress and development is like with the igbos in this area.

I have lived with them, they aren't perfect and have their issues just like any other tribe.

But i have really seen what the igbos are capable of.

It's unfortunate their region as fallen into chaos now. However that is not a valid reason to dismiss them as the north is in more choas yet people are considering a Fulani to Fulani transition.

Visit amuwo-odofin and Ojo you will realise what the igbos can do if you know what the area was like in the 90s.

Note: the area as long been neglected by successive Lagos governments until recently under sanwoolu.

I have not seen any other community that as achieved this much in Lagos under two decades virtually on their own.

This performance ability is what NIG highly needs now,not a mele mele(lackadaisical) presidency.

We need performance, I think the igbos can do it.Nigerians really need to consider this.

I hàve observed many people love to disparage the igbos, like I saw a thread of ABA being a slum.

Many people do not know the true wealth of the igbos considering their near destruction during the civil war,it's a top notch performance

I can tell you if you want to name any slum dwellers in NIG, count the Igbo out.

The igbos are proud and stubborn, but it's high time we had a president with pride, gutso and backbone to raise Nigeria level in the comity of nations.

Nigeria don big pass all these slave mentality Presidents

Have you been to Ikeja? Amuwo odofin na small thing compared to Ikeja.

Do you even know the meaning of Amuwo Odofin? There is no part of Lagos that is ever neglected. Go to Alausa ro see what you think is new.

That area has been opened as far back as the early 70s and just after our Independence in 1960; from Festac to intl trade fair complex to volkswagen to Jakande estate to Lagos Ferry station to LASU to LASCOED etc. are in that axis of Lagos and Southwest.

I stand to be corrected, the first expressway in Nigeria is that expressway which opened up that area to connect Badagry and Benin republic to the rest of Lagos and Nigeria.

Meanwhile, this may be part of the reason for some of those buildings:

Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, at the weekend busted another Tramadol cartel in Lagos with the seizure of millions of opioids pills and bottles worth over Five Billion Naira (N5billion) from their warehouse in Amuwo Odofin area of the state and arrest of two of the kingpins.

https://www.instagram.com/p/Cnbu1nNsku_/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
That axis was a jungle in the early 2000, infact I ran there (Abule Ado) during Lagos Bomb erosion of 2001 and the house where we were then was in a jungle. That's same house is now in the middle of a "city".

Also my point is that the Igbo base in Lagos is one of the most developed parts of Lagos, therefore they are a progressive people most unlike the way I observe many people disparage them, the Hausa has been in Lagos for as long as the Igbo, yet they haven't built a progressive base, any were the Igbo goes there's progress even in the north and including their own region.Their performance capacity is worthy of note
which Lagos state government? Lagos state didn't come in until 2017 taking lands forcefully after which the estate sued Lagos, the result was a judgement that they had to fix the roads in the area they took the lands all of which did not take effect till around end of 2020.....but long before that the estate held its own......and Hausa don't usually invest outside their base only the very rich.......and yes igbos have brought development to the state but only in terms of building houses outside that what else can you point to? Very few have businesses that pay tax to the state so what development are you referring to?
