On this day 15th January, 1966 Chukuwama Nzeogwu betrayed Sir Ahmadu Bello Sardauna who adopted him from a hopeless family and enrolled him in school to later become a soldier spearheaded a bloody coup killing the majority of leading figures of the North.

We wake up to many irritating and disgusting threads and comments on the Jan. 15 sad events from so-called victims of marginalization with their usual 'let's take back our country' fallacy. We know ourselves, we know our history. We cannot be blackmailed with lies.

A day like this is a day of mourning and sober reflection as a nation. If you ever peel an onion, you know the deeper you go, the more tears your eyes would be shedding off. I don't intend to continue peeling off this 'onion' of Jan. 15th 1966. My intention is to tell OUR story
