We will continue to honour and celebrate our Armed Forces as the pride of our country. Our faith in them remains unshaken. We salute their unparalleled patriotism, courage, loyalty & commitment, in the face of the daunting challenges of defending Nigeria’s territorial integrity.

On this #ArmedForcesRemembranceDay, I again ask business enterprises in Nigeria to consider appreciating the sacrifice of the members of our Armed Forces, serving and retired, by extending support to them in the form of discounts and rebates for goods and services rendered.

With great pride and honour , I attended the Year 2023 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Parade and Wreath Laying Ceremony at The Remembrance Arcade, Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos.

The Armed Forces Remembrance Day is a day set aside every year to celebrate personnel of the Army, Air Force, Navy, and Police who have died in the line of duty.

May the labour of our heroes past never be in vain nor the supreme sacrifices of our fallen heroes in combat for Nigeria. Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Today, we laid wreaths to commemorate Armed Forces Remembrance Day at the Military Cenotaph, Osogbo. We appreciate their commitment and will continue to support them. May the souls of the heroes rest in peace.

This is rich coming from someone who supported the army's shooting of unarmed protesters at Lekki.

They signed off their comfort to offer us confidence against internal disruption and external aggression. Under the sun and in the rain, their dedication guaranteed our territorial integrity.

On this special occasion of the Armed Forces Remembrance Day, on behalf of the Government and good people of Imo State, I salute the gallantry of our fallen heroes for they paid the ultimate price which is instrumental to the peace and tranquillity we enjoy.

Fisted in their gallantry and bravery, our Armed Forces have sacrificed their comfort and offered their time to preserve our freedom. Their valor in our times of need has upheld the dignity of our nation and here in Imo State, we can testify to their sacrifice.

While saluting their patriotism and bravery, we must continue to support our Armed Forces and their families, especially those who have fallen in the line of duty, for they need all the encouragement and highest understanding that we value their sacrifices.

In all, our ideals of freedom will always prevail.
