Depression setting in! by Dracular226(op):
Firstly i wanna say thank you to anyone that click on my post, I'm not here to beg for money but to speak out so i can be helped. I'm a fresh graduate and will be done with nysc in a few weeks, reality is starting to set in for me and I'm really scared. I have a BTech degree in a science course, but sadly with a low class of degree(3rd class), so bad of me i know and really shameful too. I know I've made a lot of mistakes in the past by graduating with that bad result and I'm just looking for a chance to right some of my wrongs. I know it will be difficult for me to secure am employment without any help and i have no capital to start up anything which is why I'm coming to this place now. I have no hope anywhere and lot of responsibilities, i fear my whole life might crumble if i don't find something doing after this service year. I believe we have a lot of good people on nairaland here and i just hope and pray someone will take a pity on me. Dear sir's/ma's, all I'm pleading for is a job, something to get doing, i really don't mind how little it might be or where it is, even if i will be employed with Olevel, as long as the pay is not so bad. I don't know how else to do this and i don't wanna die in silence, that is why I'm coming here now. I'm now commiting my life in God's hand and everyone reading this, please help me out. God bless you all. Dear Admin, i don't know if you can help me by moving this to front page for more views, it will go a really long way if you do.

80% of people who graduated many years ago are not employed but struggling.

Don't think everyone is employed.

Start thinking of hustling when u are out and start saving to invest.

Read books online especially the ones that talks about money.

Good luck to u.

Why do I not feel pity for people especially if they graduate with 3rd class. The attitude and level of unseriousness of some students in school and their love for the fast life would make you understand that they don’t realize there is life after school.

Advise to young people:

While in school, if you don’t have rich parents, rich uncles or relatives or anyone connected in high places or have enough capital to start a business, take your studies seriously like your life depends on it. That’s the only guaranteed life line you can fall back on no matter what

First things first drop the pity party you no need am. People full outside with no degree and dem dey do their thing.

If your degree no put u for strong position , starting out again by acquiring skills and certifications . Become valuable , people will seek you like silver or gold.

You're very right sir. Yes I've failed, even though there are reason to it but yeah i take full responsibility. The next step for me is to make amends by starting over, go back for another degree and make a good grade, that's what I'm desperately trying to do in order to give my life some meaning because trust me i hate this feeling of failure more than you could imagine. But the only issue now is that i need an opportunity that can provide me some money to do that. Probably get a job and enroll for a part time classes on the side.

It might look like I'm trying to get pitied but the only reason for that is because i have a lower chance compared to other's out there. And yeah I'm trying to better my life in other ways, I'm trying other things too, just trying to look for different opportunities.

If you are good in mathematics as a graduate of a course in the Natural sciences, try and learn Tech skills such as coding , programming, data analysis, etc.
