This morning, I went for a job interview for the position of a customer care representative. I stammer actually and I knew it was likely I wouldn't get the job. I met with their HR and we had conversation and during the conversation he asked if I was a stammerer and I answered in the affirmative, then he told me that I can't work as a customer care representative in their company due to my deficiency. I jus waka jeje comot there.

No big deal.. See it as one of those things.

But sadly it's not discrimination or something, there are some jobs not available to people of specialty

Quite frankly, very few companies will employ you for positions where you have to deal directly with customers. To an extent, customer care representative help instill the professional image in customer, hence, companies are very intentional about such employees. They vet prospective employees

Stammerer are good thinkers develop yourself in other things and thank me later.


Is there no surgery or medication for stammerer, just asking ni oh.

Stammering not suitable for the role, people will get on your nerves.
Better jobs will come your way soon, don't give up.

All jobs are not for everyone
They consider alot of factors as well

The job is not specifically meant for stammers na .Same way you won't take a short girl to be an air hostess .Take heart though.

But there are lots if jobs you can still do, like store keeper, IT officer, Cashier, programmer, graphic designer, etc.

So you look at your abilities, capabilities and plan accordingly.

OP let me ask u a simple question and pls be honest, if u were the employer or HR of d company recruiting, would u employ a stammere? and risk ur job?
