The bank doesn't add the reason. It's not their business what you want to use the FD for.
Fix it and collect the certificate then submit

Hi Gurus in the house. I need an honest advice. I am currently on CRS 478 with my husband in the pool. Some weeks ago, we got a notification of cancellation form of result after TRF has been issued. We have escalated but you know how things can be in Nigeria. Our other option which is for him to reseat for the exam is almost impossible as his passport has expired...though we are in the process of getting it renewed.

Also please has anyone gotten a notification of cancellation of result before after TRF has been issued? How was it resolved?

what was the reason for cancellation? Malpractice in the exam center? That’s weird and unheard of and extreme sha. Please shed more light.

They didn't specifically point to one thing. They sent the generic mail they send if a result is cancelled. We have told them to provide evidence but I think it was because he had 6.5 the first time and had 8 the second time (he wrote the 2nd exam less than a month after the first thus was because of his passport expiring at the time) prolly they think its impossible to have that leap less than a month.

This is not generic, they claim to have reasonable evidence that meant something went down… I think this also comes with a Ban

Then they should bring the evidence. They have been stalling to pull anything tangible out.

Lol 2022 was a good year. People got jobs across multiple sectors easily as Canada faced shortage of employees
May it continue to be so as we are coming this year.

I doubt if this will go below 470s. Reason being that people are added to the pool daily. In addition the number of international students that trooped into canada in 2021 and 2022 are more than double pre-covid numbers. A good percentage of these students will be joining the pool as CECs with higher scores and will thus keep the average scores higher than pre-covid levels.

Please can I have your contact? It could be
your Whatsapp number or your email. Thank you.

4. Job market- ....I have seen videos where people preach about survival jobs being an entry point to the Canadian job market. I don’t agree with that narrative. Survival jobs should be the last option . I got a job in my field before even landing in Canada. More and more people have been able to do so as well.

I disagree with you on this. You are the exception, not the rule. The standard pipeline is to work so-called survival jobs before getting that appropriate (or desired) job. There's no other way you want to spin it.

The problem is in thinking that working so-called survival jobs is denigrating. Working factory jobs isn't the only option available. There are also respectable remote "survival" jobs, and for some other people, the pay is actually what makes it a survival job, not the job itself. In fact, this is pretty much the case for the majority since most people would never really land that lucrative job to start with. If you were working an oil company job paying you over 40m per annum in Nigeria and then moved to Canada to take up a customer service role paying you 45k CAD, then that clearly is a survival job. But if you were working a customer service job in Nigeria earning 4m per annum, and then landed another customer service job in Canada paying you 45k CAD, then that clearly is no survival job. You have, in fact, simply landed in your field of work and should work your way up from there. "Survival" merely depends on the context.

In any case, I never got a job in Canada from Nigeria. I came to Canada for school, applied to jobs for some months after school, and ended up in my desired field with way more than my desired salary. That's also a pathway. Yours, whereby you got a job from Nigeria, is super rare and will not happen to a sizeable handful. Heck, out of 10, it won't happen to 9. Selling that narrative as the likely or plausible scenario for the majority is just outright inconsiderate.

Finally, working so-called survival jobs is not a bad thing and, more importantly, it's not unusual in the Canadian job market, even if it's not necessarily what everyone must do when they land. Key here is that it's the reality of the Canadian job market. Nonetheless, whoever does it only needs to know that they should keep their focus and continue working towards getting into their desired field, something which will inevitably happen if they keep at it. That's the reality of the majority.

They did point to a specific point - reasonable evidence of fraud and this is not a generic mail at all. It is highly unlikely that they will make this claim without going through a painstaking investigation. It is incredibly hard to go from a 6.5 to an 8 within a couple of weeks on a language test.

i disagree with this point because when i first wrote my test I had 6.5 i wrote again after 2 weeks and had 8s and 8.5 it’s been 3 months and nobody as indicated that i committed fraud

From the last draw cut off at 490, there might just be hope for 460’s before the end of the year, that is if the draws continue seamlessly.

Canada Express entry has taught me that 1 year is just 365 days grin
