Arinze96:A 5kva generator should do. It's going to be noisy compared to smaller generators, consume more fuel and of course expensive. |
| Re: Professor On Any Type Of Generator. by Gptech(m): 11:47pm On Jan 25, 2023 |
shedo4sure:It can last you for as long as possible provided you don't use it for heavy loads and change oil regularly. |
| Re: Professor On Any Type Of Generator. by Gptech(m): 11:48pm On Jan 25, 2023 |
de3lar:Leave it at factory settings and avoid rapid wear of the engine. You believe these technicians know more than manufacturers? |

Gptech:For protection against power fluctuations with PHCN power supply and since I read here that I can use a stabilizer with a generator, I want to be safer than sorry. I need your honest opinion. Thank you. |
| Re: Professor On Any Type Of Generator. by Arinze96(m): 8:16am On Jan 26, 2023 |
Gptech:Is it because of the ACs? Will 3.5kva be enough if there is no 2hp AC in the picture? If yes, what brand would you advice I go for? Thank you. |
| Re: Professor On Any Type Of Generator. by de3lar(m): 11:18am On Jan 26, 2023 |
Gptech:Mehn, I messed with it a little already, but it still revs high and carries all the load comfortably. Thanks for the advice, I'll increase it back to its factory settings. |

osic:A good surge protector should do a better job. If you normally have low voltage supply in your neighborhood then it makes sense to get a stabilizer. |
| Re: Professor On Any Type Of Generator. by Gptech(m): 11:36am On Jan 26, 2023 |
Arinze96:Yes, because of the Acs. 3.5-4.5kva is not bad for the 1.5hp AC. I recommend only Sumec and Thermocool, but you can check out Maxi too. |
| Re: Professor On Any Type Of Generator. by Arinze96(m): 12:04pm On Jan 26, 2023 |
Gptech:Thank you. I will go for thermocool Optima 4000es then. Hopefully it isn't noisy |

What could have knocked the engines of two of my generators? Both had engine oil. Could faulty light connection make a generator knock its engine? |

| Re: Professor On Any Type Of Generator. by michlins(m): 6:03pm On Jan 27, 2023 |
aieromon:while you're right about welders doing such,it comes with its own risks. Most power tools are made with such in mind, same can not be said about household electronics |

michlins:Are you saying its unsafe? Please I'm about to do this tomorrow morning. |

Pochettino:I'm not saying it's not safe. But I am saying there is a better way of connecting your appliances so do that. Money is extremely hard to come by now |
