Remember that

1.Peter obi was in PDP and was the VP of the current PDP candidate in 2019.

2.Peter obi left PDP not out of principles, but because he could not get their ticket

3.Datti Ahmed was a ANPP , then a PDP member. Keep that in mind

4.A vote for Peter Obi is a vote for PDP and APC....and by extension Atiku and Tinubu to continue.


5.Ideally fellow Nigerians, you should vote for a coallition of the other political parties like ADP , PRP and AA and the other minor ones so that we can get rid of the pretenders. Let's give a real fighting chance to people who have had nothing to do with PDP and APC


But if you must vote for Peter Obi, Atiku or Tinubu, members of the PDPAPC....plus Kwankwaso, and even SDP....then remember that voting and the democratic process does not end when you leave the voting area. Put pressure on them to do the right thing. Don't sit at home and rejoice.

Your argument is very famillar to someone from a developed country. In the UK and USA, there are large numbers of people who are dissatified with the Conservatives and Labor(UK) and the GOP and the Dems (USA)

But the thing is, as much as people are annoyed, people prefer stability, even broken stability...to the uncertianity of a new government

For me, the dream would be that no one votes for Tinubu, Atiku, Obi and Kwankwaso, and SDP (SDP is rumored to be a spare Tinubu trojan horse)...and vote for minority parties like PRP. ADP and even AAC. But people have a lot to do in their lives, and no one wants to do the hard work of organising for or voting for a small party. (Labour in the UK took several decades to become the UK's no 2 party, and it happened because the Liberals between 1910-30 self destructed). Poeple also vote for what they know, and if the popular guys in the locality are in PDP or APC, there is nothing that can be done.

LP is already constrained by the fact that PO is a PDP product...as is his VP. Then many PO supporters are going to vote for PDP and APC candidates (this is not a lie...many have said it, even one PDP organiser said himself that he was voting for PO at preseidental and PDP in all the other elections) in all the other elecitons...because even LP supporters want familarity.


You want real change? Start a party by yourself, and begin the hard work of organizing. Buhari, as bad as he is, knew that....which is why he and not us who want some real change, is in power. Ardern who resigned in New Zealand, was in a party by the time she was 17 years old. Sunak, who is Ardern's agemate, has been in politics since he was 20 years old. Macron has been in politics since his early 20's. We complain about Buhari, and tinubu and atiku (and even Obi!) being old...but they did the hard work. We who complain here won't do it.(and then again, I don't expect anyone to leave his busy life and enter politics. Obama 's wife reminded him, when he told her he was running for president, about the poor state of their personal finances....and back then they had decent jobs that could at least provide some stability. If he lost...)

You have said it all... Sadly, that stability Nigerians desire has plunged the nation into a generational mess!
