I had the same problem last week, and i think the issue is simple.

Because hackers have been attacking the site (Seun even put up a post about it recently)...the owner of Nairaland is putting in place means to protect his site

You get the message if you repeatedly log in to Nairaland too many times in a day from the same device or same browser....which means the site protection flags you as suspicious...and bars you for a while. (Not a total ban, mind).
