I've written jamb last year and I scored 299 but I'm being pressured to write another and choose medicine instead?
My senior sis just graduated from unizik as a doctor and now she feels I should also do medicine.
I'm also afraid I might not find job in Electronics and Computer Engineering
I'm not very good in biology so I dont think I'll reach that score again
What do I do?

9 years in university and she's out with distinctions in five subjects or courses.
Now she'd be going for housemanship in which she'd be paid and after that Nysc.
She said if she's lucky to work in a hospital run by WHO then she might be going abroad very soon.
She is like my role model. She got the highest jamb score in our house as at then and my parents were praising her.
I decided I was going to pass her score and 8 years later(2022), I got 299 which is 33 points more than hers.
Now she has distinctions, will I also get distinctions if I leave Engineering which is my comfort zone and go for medicine?
Like the pressure is getting too much.

Oga follow your heart, don't study medicine cos your sister studied medicine,; study it cos you have passion for it.
There's alot of job opportunities in computer engineering, go for it.

University education is not to only look for job but to create, recreate,innovate what is already on ground.
Can't we just think of creating employment instead of been employed?

I think you can still do another Jamb, you can put medicine or pharmacy

The issue of biology could be because you have not really put your interest in it

But in all, the course you choose is still OK, Nigeria may get better

But medical gives you more advantage

The reason you feel you might not get the job in engineering is because you sound like one who lacks the practical skill needed in this field as well. If you're good in the aspect of theory it doesn't stop you from engaging in the field even as a professor or pundit. If this is the case, go for engineering. And work to build your practical skill. Your knowledge of theory and practical would take you farther.

You can definitely do well in biology , all you just need is practice. Get into the ECE program first , don't waste your utme score
