This Is What Will Happen After Kwankwaso Steps Down For Atiku by LocalStandard1(op): 10:33am On Jan 30, 2023
1. First of all let's talk about Kwankwaso's carrier shall we?

Kwankwaso is a 66 years old man from Kano State Nigeria, who was a former governor from said state.

Kwankwaso is a regional politician seeking national appeal and stepping down for Atiku, after aligning with Buhari in 2015 will cement that in the eyes of Nigerians in general. He will be seen as a hero by some and a sectional jingoist by others. He will never recover from that perception.

2. Let's talk about his supporters.

Kwankwaso commands respect, admiration and following from his supporters and Northern elites in general. Now, let's imagine for once Peter Obi steps down for a candidate, any candidate. Let's say Tinubu. About half of his supporters will decide against voting at all out of disappointment cos they see Obi, not Tinubu, as the Messiah, right and fit for the job. Some will change their support to others while the rest will go for the said Tinubu.

Same with Kwankwaso stepping down for Atiku, who many Northerners do not have faith in and question his character. Many will decide against voting, some will change support, many others will go for the said Atiku. But after Buhari Northerners want someone they trust not only someone they share blood and language with. About 30 percent will not vote, 30 will change candidate, the other 40 will go for Atiku.

I really will love to see and read Kwankwaso's speech and reasons on the day he steps down.

3. Let's talk about subsequent reactions from the South now shall we.

This one is funny cos the assumption is that there are still very plenty Atiku supporters in the South. Yes there are a lot, but the sentiment about power going to the South stands. Kwankwaso stepping down will do damage to Atiku in other regions, the amount still unknown.

When Kwankwaso steps down for Atiku a lot of his supporters, elites too, will tactfully withdraw their support for the PDP and Atiku. Eyes will be opened and people will see it like a North vs South issue. The G5 will be emboldened, the G5 will tactfully turn to the G6,7 ,8, 9 etc. Atiku will receive a blow in the South. Finally at the last minute the G whatever will have enough reason and will endorse the Labour Party's Peter Obi, tactfully. Don't argue this one it's already getting too obvious.

4. Let's talk about the two candidates from the South.

Like it or not the two Southern candidates will get good numbers in the core North too, especially Tiinubu. Peter Obi will surprise people, especially when Kwankwaso steps down cos his supporters have a lot in common with Obi's. Atiku is not getting unanimous support like Buhari in the North, even Buhari's popularity is bad for PR. Votes will be shared here.

5. Let's talk about who then really determines who wins this election.

The somewhat neutral people will determine that, they who have always did. The Middle Belt that is!! I don't mean the North Central alone here but entire Northern Christians.
All these is if the elections are free and fair.

But we'll see!

Let's be frank to ourselves for a moment, it's game over for Labour Party and APC should Kwankwaso step down for Atiku.

I don't just disagree but I think this statement is a big fallacy.

Atiku himself isn't sure of a landslide victory in the Core North. Those votes will be shared like biscuits.

The Northerners are aligning how to continue holding on to power while Tinubu and his urchins are busy attacking Peter Obi.

Yes, the votes will be shared IF Kwankwaso remains in the game.

If Peter Obi can get enough people in the South and Middle Belt to come out enmass and vote it will be a game changer. There's voter apathy in the North, a deal breaker.
Re: This Is What Will Happen After Kwankwaso Steps Down For Atiku by LocalStandard1(op): 10:58am On Jan 30, 2023
Another game changer is this. Peter Obi needs to learn a few sentences in Hausa right away and scatter the crowd with good Hausa language. That my friends will work wonders. Talk to them in their tongue!

I will happily teach him that.
Re: This Is What Will Happen After Kwankwaso Steps Down For Atiku by Simeonjoe1: 11:08am On Jan 30, 2023
Truth be told Kwankwaso can never step down for Tinubu he'll prefer he lose than step down for APC....
Even if he prefers Tinubu to Atiku pdp is still the most strategic course to step down to...
They are already too many northern power wigs in APC and I don't see him edging any.
With PDP atleast he's guaranteed of the next northern ticket should he choose to run after a southerner...

But will he's stepping down really affect APC chances knowing they were all in PDP 2019?
To be honest the greatest disadvantage will be against obi as the 3 divided votes will now be divided into just 2.

It's getting interesting Sha

sad i have said it is the SW that should really make Obi win this thing.

Any wise, fair, reasonable, sensible, non bigoted, non tribalistic, educated, enlightened, exposed and intelligent South Westerner know that Tinubu is not a good fit for the Presidency.

If the SW overwhelmingly vote for Obi, these backstabbing treacherous Fulanis don't stand a chance.

But they will use religion to deceive some of our SW brothers and then scheme them out later on.

Kwankwaso is 66 according to this thread. If he steps down for Atiku and if Akitu eventually wins. He will be doing 8 years. Power moves to the south for another 8 years, altogether making it 16 years.

If it plays out this way, does Kwankwaso have any chance of being the president of Nigeria?

How old will he be by then?

Indeed, interesting time ahead.

Hahahahahahaaaaaa. Lol! My friend you're funny oh?! Why do you think people are struggling now for this thing?

If the North wins this one who told you they will just hand over the next one to you? If you're not ready and fit to take it now don't expect anyone to freely give it to you later on.
Be wise son!!

In other words, Kwankwaso should be on standby after Atiku.

It is over then for southern Nigeria.

If this election is free and fair Obi will win it. A friend of mine who comes from the same village as Okowa confirmed it but with what's playing out in Osun state, man said it's possible for Governor's and godfathers like Okowa and Tinubu to hold their states down again the Obidient wave. Overall, I just hope it's free and may the best man win.

BOTH PETER OBI AND KWANKWASO ARE WORKING FOR ASIWAJU BOLA AHMED TINUBU'S VICTORY. IT IS GAME OVER FOR ATIKU, ALREADY WE KNOW THAT PETER OBI AND KWANKWASO CAN'T WIN BUT ARE TOOLS IN THE HANDS OF THE MASTER POLITICAL STRATEGIST TINUBU.

Thank you bro. What I'm telling people here in Delta is that if Atiku win, they should start preparing for Kwankwaso as their next president. But some are feeling Atiku will do one term and give Okowa the ticket.

And if eventually Atiku wins, a Tambuwal or Kwakwanso will also want to take over claiming its their turn that the south were not smart enough to make a southerner president as such we lost our chance. shocked

I'm more concerned about the youths that are being deliberately disenfranchised by ASUU.
ASUU should know that if they allow themselves get fooled by politicians and they didn't allow the students to vote.. possibly a bad leader will emerge and ASUU strike continues till infinity.

Kwankwaso’s credibility will be ruin if he step down for Atiku.

Imagine how much it will cost Nigerian taxpayers if Atiku win this election.

1 Man
6 Wives
31 Children
70 Grandchildren

NIGERIAN government will provide police excorts for each member of the family while funding their lavish lifestyle.

Atiku does not have the moral capacity to lower cost of governance.

Decide and Vote wisely, if you’re ok.

Fairly balanced analysis

If kwakwanso steps down, it would send a subtle message to his supporters that he supports corruption that atiku was packaged to represent in 2019 when he ran against buhari

As reward he may be given a ministerial post that's all

If he decides to not to step down for anyone he would be able to measure his political weight across the country and this would come into play during the next election in 2027 when he would align himself to inherit Buhari's block vote
Re: This Is What Will Happen After Kwankwaso Steps Down For Atiku by dochenaj: 3:02pm On Jan 30, 2023
Kwankwaso stepping down is a wrong political move for him.

He needs to remain in the election and build his support base in this election and probably in the next.

Howbeit, it will be in his favour that a Southerner win this election hence making him very appropriate for next time.

But that is not going to change anything even if Atiku wins as he is poised to win, because that will further indicate the Northern supremacy and ensure the North remains in power as the South will never unite behind one candidate.

And personally I have no problem with that. Geographical location of origin of the president doesn't determine if he will be a good or bad president for the country.

The Northern votes will be in the favour of Atiku, then followed by Kwankwaso or Tinubu with Obi coming 4th.

If Kwankwaso steps down it will mean more votes for Atiku and maybe Tinubu. And Atiku wins the 2023 general elections.
