We are all trying to achieve something in life, and we all know being successful isn't easy.

It can require a combination of both discipline and passion. But in my opinion, I'd say discipline is more important to achieving set goals.

Discipline will take you where passion cannot.

I have been passionate about many things, but wasn't disciplined enough to follow through, hence I didn't succeed in them.

On the other hand, there were set goals I wasn't even passionate about, but I achieved them because I was disciplined enough to follow through to the end.

For example, I have always been passionate about writing fictional books, but for many years I had so many book ideas that never saw the light of day. This was because I wasn't disciplined enough to put in the hours required to write them. I was also too busy writing for my clients (but that's not an excuse for not writing my own personal projects).

It wasn't until 2020 that I decided that no matter the workload I have from my clients and no matter how tired I was from working, that I would still make out the time to write my own book. And in less than a month, I had finished my book which I released in October 2020.

That's my take on discipline and passion as far as achieving set goals is concerned.

I agree totally with you 100%.
Ive seen the most pasdionate humam being who is very close to me, but lacks discipline to follow through to set goals as such suffers unquantifiable consiquencies.
Discipline and character go hand in hand trust me. Just the saying goes " talent is not enough".

Discipline is the ability to follow through with your commitment or responsibility whether you feel like it or not.

In my opinion, nothing compares to discipline in this life if we are to succeed at any goal at all.

No, discipline. Because being diligent means doing it on practically daily bases. Discipline will make you wake up at 5 am each day

Discipline is doing what is necessary even if you don't feel like, but passion is emotional base and fleeting.

Lots of people hate their job but disciplined themselves enough to go since it pays the bill and help them meet their adult responsibilities.

I have passion for a lot of things that if it gets harder, I just gave up. For example I had passion to learn Russian but stopped after mastering Cyrillic letters. Passion got me to learning, but I was not disciplined so I gave up.

For best result, I will say both.

Passion is what makes discipline not look like a punishment.
But in all discipline is everything...

DISCIPLINE: you can build a succesful business that youre not really passionate about but are disciplined but no matter the amount of passion you have , without discipline, the business will fail!

When you are passionate about something, automatically, you'll put it first... That way, discipline is playing out....somehow
