No checkpoints.

An average northern life is worth nothing.
Soon, an average Nigerian life will be worth the same.

“State police” is the only way forward.

Fund your police better or die.

Too harsh. I'm not a Norrtherner

This new naire redesigning is the best policy to address some issue to a larger extend.

May i remind you, that is the state of the vice presidential candidate of the APC.

Not just his state but his local government and his village. Moguno. His kanuri people see terrorism as work of Allah.

What is commendable? It is very clear folks of your type doesn't think well at all. This is money gotten by bloods sheered and they are coming to sheer more blood to get the money back. This time with interest. People who think like you do will also collect money on election day and sell their conscience

The truth is that this policy is a good one, but the problem is that it was not well thought out and seems to be more out of vendetta than an actual monetary policy.

I thought by now there will be a lot of public awareness on how we can start using enaira and other electronic banking platforms rather than talking about cash swap. This is where I feel the CBN has failed

Gbam!
Re: ISWAP Distributes Old Naira Notes To Passengers On Borno Highway by 9jatriot(m): 2:19pm On Feb 01, 2023
I don't think so. Online banking has always been with us for over 15 years now but most people use it for high ticket items or for places with POS, but what CBN should have been creating solutions for is when I want to buy 100 naira groundnut, the seller should have a wallet that only needs his phone number to send it to him like credit, same thing with when paying for bus fare and other petty cash. It does not make economic sense to do a transfer of 200 naira with bank + sms charges of up to 25 naira or more. Kenya have Mpesa, China have wepay, so I initially thought the CBN wanted to use their enaira and partner with telecoms to come up with a solution, I non know say the CBN govn'r wan carry us go where we non know
YeyeGbami:

Enough awareness dey my brother, but you see we stubborn die. Almost all small and large businesses suppose don get POS by now but majority dey run from bank charges they rather opt for transfer or cash.

The cbn should have enforced the cashless policy well well before changing the note. now they're doing both at the same time which seem chaotic.

Before commending them, how do you think they got the money in the first place? Hmmm. How many beheadings and ransoms did it take, for them to be "generous"?

Smart bastards! They are simply trying to get rid of all the old, soon to be useless notes by pretending to be kind hearted and generous, only for them to rake it back in form of the new notes during raids, ransom collection and illegal taxations. They can't ever go to the bank to change it themselves.

Commendable ke? They will get it back. They will wait until the new notes start circulating and resume kidnapping. The only difference is that it's not those who they gave the bundle of 100,000 naira that will be kidnapped. They will get fresh victims.
