Tiger Caught on CCTV Sends Joburg Nursery Into Lockdown (PICS) by WannaHowzit(op):
A young tiger was spotted in Edenvale, east of Johannesburg, on Monday morning.

A local security company claimed that the tiger had been recaptured and would be taken to a sanctuary, but this could not be confirmed by the SPCA.

CCTV footage of the wild animal surfaced early on Monday morning, prompting authorities to warn residents to be on the lookout and keep all animals indoors.

Wilson said the tiger jumped from house to house in the Edenvale area. It was later also sighted in a nearby field.

The owner of the animal was still unknown.

Keshvi Nair, a spokesperson of the National Council of SPCAs, said they informed the Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of the tiger.

"The National Council of SPCAs has contacted and alerted [the Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development] regarding this case, given that they are responsible for issuing permits and allowing these dangerous and wild animals to be kept in captivity in a residential area," Nair said.

This is how single mothers are roaming looking for a man to hinge their problems on.
Never marry a single mothers, just fvck and let others fvck her.

There is a reason why men didn't stay in her life. Don't carry wahala that your generation can't solve.

A woman you did not disvirgin will always fvck her ex the moment he shows up to her on Facebook or in the market and you will train another man's child.
Be wise and marry a virgin.

I don't understand why people let their wild pet loose. They do this all the time. Especially when they feel the pets have become too wild. Duh! They are and will always be wild animals.🙄🙄

You're right - theres a call for tighter laws around exotic and alien animals being kept around neighborhoods, including pitbulls. The laws are too relaxed at the moment.

It shouldn't be just a call for Tiger laws but for all wild animals laws.
Wild animals need to stay in the wild or a controlled place

According to the SA Dept of Environmental Affairs there are roughly 400 registered tigers in SA and classified as an alien species.

is it any different from what I said earlier?

Tigers are not indigenous to the African continent but there are many tigers in game reserves and zoo all over Africa...

These tigers were brought from other continents

I'm not sure but it seems there are laws for keeping indigenous wild animals whilst there aren't for alien species.

I doubt these pet tigers are as vicious as their wild counterparts. They will probably only attack humans as last resort.

Their favourite food will most likely to be dogs.

The previous escaped tiger that made headlines was 2 weeks ago also in joburg, called Sheba.

She attacked a man ⬇️⬇️⬇️ but dined on 2 dogs and a pig in the time she was loose. She was found with a full stomach.

Thanks for the info. I actually learnt of the incident.

What I wonder was whether she attacked the man for food or just nature? She she had wanted to kill the man, it would have been effortless. Those things are killing machines,

We're not their natural prey. Most people who get killed by wild animals don't get eaten up (including in the ocean by sharks and whales).

But they get put down once they've tasted human blood like Sheba was 2 weeks ago, to discourage future taste for humans.

We're just a threat to them.

I watched a documentary long ago of a man eating lion that entered a village.

It came close to a hut in which there was a lone woman but the hut was well barricaded and the lion could not enter. Though the lion knew it could not enter, it chose to start circling round the hut menacingly.

The woman, naturally terrified at sighting the lion began screaming for help. Her screams got the attention of a brave man who was running to her rescue. The lion promptly jumped on the poor soul and had him for dinner.

I want to ask at this juncture- even though the lion knew it was pointless making a go for the woman, knowing entry into her hut was futile, why did it still choose to circle her hut?

The lion wasn't after the woman. It was after the person brave or foolish enough to come to her rescue after hearing her screams.

That is why to add to your point is that not only are man eating lions killed, but their offspring or cubs as well as they too would have been taught how to hunt humans.

Yep, the battle in African and Asian villages is that those predators get to view humans as prey after they've tasted their blood and flesh.

Even in the ocean here in SA, sharks that bite people are hunted and euthenised. Otherwise the oceans will never be safe for humans and the tourism we so rely upon in this region.
