omonnakoda:My brother… It’s all politically motivated and they won’t tell you this. Their reasons has to do with the election. But even that is ill thought out. The politicians it was intended to frustrate all have mint new notes delivered to them in their bedrooms. It’s the common man that will suffer this one. Did you see the news of a man collapse in the banking hall queue today while waiting to withdraw cash? If this ain’t politically motivated then the time frame for distribution should be extended. Our country na wah. We really need a “messiah “ to get us back on track. 1 Like |

You are a fool, a big fool, the fact that you think people protesting because of hardship are Tinubu's miscreants makes you a more stupid person. So among people queuing up at the bank to withdraw their hard earned money there are no PO / Atiku supporters? They are all Tinubu's mob .... PO supporters spend cowry abi?? Ori e ti ope yen a to pe. Must everything be about Tinubu? Did nigeria start getting bad 8 years ago?? Unless you are child or you are an adult that has lost touch with history & reality. You urgently need help ooo. You need to be in ICU as a matter of fact. The fact that we left our houses since morning and could not even withdraw at the ATM and POS guys dont have cash as well and people took to street to protest makes us Tinubu's boys. Baba Buhari body languages in term of governance is anti People. Why moping up old currency and failed to release new notes for banks to disburse to Nigerians. You make life so difficult for Nigerians in the name of changing currency which is and can never be the last solution to Nigeria problems. Out of your almost 8 years in government this is time you wake up that our note should be changed in the name of theories economic calculation from cbn governors who mismanage our economy badly to where we are. Bubu don't give excuse on what you intensionally done to hort some people now it has become policy solmalsult which is horting ordinary Nigerians. You failed to consider that not all Nigerians are operating their business through commercial banks and cbn. "An Empty container doesn't have choice than to accommodate whatever they put in it. You did not considered the conciquencies of what you did bcs you think you and cbn Governor know it all simply because your aims is to fight your perceived political rivers. 1 Like

Re: Naira Redesign: Buhari Accuses Banks Of ‘Greed’ by ModCaller: 6:20pm On Feb 03, 2023 |
adekolaelect: Didn't you read Kaduna state governor saying that he knows a governor who withdrew 500 million new cash from bank? That should tell you that bankers are simply doing what they do best in Nigeria: serving the highest bidder. Each branch is getting 30 million a day. At 20k limit, that amount will serve 1500 people. There are 1440 minutes in a day and each person spends at least one minute to withdraw money from ATM. Hence Less than 1500 persons can logically withdraw money in a day from an ATM. This is basic maths Banks are selling this money to the highest bidders. It's a den of thieves |

Delphi:see poor man!30million per branch?Banks load atm machines with 3 to 5 million daily and at least 100 customers withdraw 500k or more per branch.please do the maths, that's about 60million but in your poor mind 30million is enough. Do u know how much pos operator's withdraw everyday to be able to do their business. This nairaland is now like a village group platform because the discourse is becoming less intelligent by the day 5 Likes |

ExAngel007: This is how you know the ineffectiveness of govt and systems in Naija. Everything must be factored in and when money is released to banks for disbursement, machineries go into action to see to it's even dispensing. He's complaining to show he didn't plan for this scenarios. Very useless president. |

Speaking on Friday, the president said he demanded an “undertaking from the CBN that no new notes will be printed in a foreign country and they in turn gave him assurances that there was enough capacity, manpower and equipment to print the currency for local needs”. Acidosis:It worked perfectly well when he was military head of state.Only two weeks was given for currency swap. What Nigerians need is iron hand.Tinubu and other corrupt politicians need to be dealt with. They are the problems of this country.Buhari should not shift the deadline otherwise the aim of mopping up the Naira in circulation will be defeated |
Re: Naira Redesign: Buhari Accuses Banks Of ‘Greed’ by adekolaelect(m): 6:50pm On Feb 03, 2023 |
ModCaller:many Nigerians are likes to talk on what they don't know. I know of a bank that had never receive any funds from cbn since 3 days. Oga not all Nigerians operating their business through banks. It is a wrong for cbn to assume that money not in the cbn and commercial banks is with the politicians. Majority of Nigerians are doing business without banking transactions. Bubu is an empty container which can accommodate any thing put in it. Sham!!! |
Re: Naira Redesign: Buhari Accuses Banks Of ‘Greed’ by ModCaller: 6:57pm On Feb 03, 2023 |
adekolaelect: I don't support the whole thing. But I don't think there is anyway CBN will decide to sabotage its own projects. Hence, everything comes down to the commercial banks. Kaduna state governor testified that he knows a governor who got 500 million from a bank. Many people already know about the under the table dealings. There have been major newspapers reporting on these things in the last few days. Some even sell to POS people who are connected to them. Bank administrators suck up to rich people, especially politicians because they want to retain their account. These administrators know how hard they worked to get them so once they get a request from them, they start running around to make it happen. It's a den of thieves. |
