This is a reason why either major party should not be voted in .... both are operating as if the country is still under military rule. The military should have absolutely nothing to do with civilians .... not even be in civilian courts.... but here we are.... seeing the military as a law enforcement agency. The University is appealing to the students to be calm in the future .... why not ban the military from entering the campus?... they have no right to be on campus. Head of the military should automatically discipline the ranks involved.... there should be no need for any discussion. I just hope there's a new government that will reset things to normal.

I also experienced something like this on monday in a bank here in warri the soildier just by passed everyone in the queue and went straight to the front without any apologies some people in the queue claimed that any nigerian security agent are free to do such as far as they are on uniform I don't know if this is really normal practice in nigeria.

Many Nigerians are sad, defeated people. They simply don't know any better and that's why they think this nonsense by Nigerian soldiers is normal, acceptable behaviour.

Those people who claimed soldiers are free to shunt ATM queues (once they are in uniform) are wrong. Their right of way only exists in special circumstances e.g. official duties on the highway and public roads. Definitely not at ATM machines.

The average Nigerian soldier is not a disciplined human being. He just isn't.

People have been reporting lawless behaviour by soldiers for ages. Most of the time, nothing comes out of it. The offenders simply deny any wrongdoing and if there is no video or audio evidence of the crime, the matter dies there. Their superiors are complicit and usually encourage this impunity. Soldiers simply will not hand over their personnel to be tried by civilians - and they will not discipline the offenders either. So how will this madness stop?

That is why so many Nigerian soldiers hate any kind of camera device with a passion. They are men born of darkness and as such, they must hate the light because it exposes their misdeeds.
