Yea, that's it. I joined one of her masterclasses and it looked promising, probably because she held that herself. That was what prompted me to enroll.

What matter most is getting the hands-on experience and a placement at the end of the course. There are testimonies from previous cohorts that went through the same training process and have landed themselves a good paying jobs that comes with sponsorship.

I haven't seen much of their testimonies and online presence though...

AiCore and Masterclass are both extensive
Still on the lookout tho

Oops! Sorry you had such an experience.

The BA School run by Eno Eka is more fixated on optics and revenue than delivering value.

I once attended one of her sessions and all I could see was hype, motivation and a marketing scheme to get more money from students. I've had to unsubscribe from their mailing list after they bombarded me with tons of promotional content.

Regardless of your pathway - IIBA or BCS - you can self-study and ace the exams but the bigger challenge will be accessing the job market on a personal pedestal. However, this won't be much of an issue if you're looking to transition into a BA role within your current company. Either way, nothing is impossible, might just be difficult initially.

For IIBA's CBAP, you can buy the Udemy course by Ciel Academy. Engaging lectures delivered by a Nigerian, Obalim. For BCS, you can self-study as well or register with Twim Institute, a BCS-accredited academy in Nigeria.

I recently saw posts from Advance Care UK. It somewhat akin to High Impact Hub. See their poster below.

If person 2500 pound and e no get job after 2/3 months, no be gbege be that?

LionInZion:

That's very correct.
The one I used was Business Analysis School, owned by a Canadian-based Nigerian lady. After paying over N200k they just assigned us an uninspiring teacher who was just taking us through a boring class. She would just present a slide and start reading to us. They expected us to complete the whole online teaching within 2 or 3 sessions (I can't remember now because I quit after 2 classes). It was so boring and cumbersome, like sitting from morning to evening just listening to some boring presentation. I have taken several courses on Coursera and I know how interactive they can be. That was what I was expecting, but ended up disappointed.

New or Used?

New ones: Order online - Argos, Amazon, or search furniture shops around you.

Old: British Heart Foundation and some charity shops. Facebook Market.

You de look the IHS balance instead of seizing this opportunity with both arms and legs? E de bi for you ooo. Guy collect this thing get rest of mind. The dividend outweighs the cost.

heroshark:
Hello Mentors,

I got an offer with a top Engineering and Management consulting firm, with a start date of 11th September 2023.

They said they need to switch me to a skilled worker visa prior to my starting date.

I just got a mail this morning, to submit all the necessary documents, that they will proceed with the visa application immediately.

I started my MSc last year September so I will be graduating this September which is still 7-8months ahead.

My question are:
1) Should I proceed with the application now or wait till closer to my course end date ?

2) They said they will cover the cost of visa fee but I'm expected to pay the IHS fee myself which is currently £625 x no of years ( however, they included a caveat that if I should inform them if I can't afford it) should I go ahead and informed them that I cannot afford it, will they offer to pay it on my behalf ?

3) My current student visa will expire 30th January 2024, which means I still have about 1year of IHS surcharge left. Will this be transferred or can I claim it back?

These guys will only hype their courses, bring their croonies to come deliver lectures you can get cheaply from Udemy or Internet and at the end of the day its still up to you to get placement. ...try them though if you can afford it

Please share the one you used.
I have attended info sessions with high impact and I think they are legit. I personally rate some of these Nigerian trainings higher than some in the UK because they tend to focus on getting the job especially with the rise of remote working. I may go for a BA with them in the next cohort if I don't get the position I desire.

You can't do the other job during your work hours, which is typically Monday - Friday 9 - 5 or whatever you configuration is stated in your contract.

You can do it on the weekends as you plan but only if you're sure it won't affect your performance or ability to discharge your duties at your main job.

Just bear in mind that should any issues arise as to your performance and the company is or becomes aware you had a second job, they'd be able to say you breached your contract regardless of how true it might be, because the contract gives them discretion.

Virality isn't veracity.

Misinformation can sometimes spread faster than truth.

Is there any policy or government reference for it?

When ordering an item, select pick up (not delivery)........

The nearest Amazon hub locker, closest to you, would be highlighted........

You would get a code + notification, when item is ready for pick up........

Simply stroll to locker, enter code and pick your item ........

It's completely FREE ........😂😜

Hi daddies and mummies.

I just finished my masters and I've exposed to two opportunities. A professional job in data analytics but doesn't sponsors and a care job that sponsors.

Pls which would be my best shot considering I'll love to stay in UK abd as well I love the analytics job.

Your instinct already has the answer but since you are here, you might as well consider these pointers.
Since you love it here, how do you maintain your stay in here w/o COS considering your present visa category?
Can you afford to jettison the care offer, take up the DA offer and keep searching for COS in that professional career path?

If Dokita is so determined to change her career, she needs to consider some factors and make necessary decision after extensive research on the new industry(ies) she is eyeing. These factors are in no particular order.
- Pay
- Time flexibility cos of her new family (on-site, offsite or hybrid role)
- Self fulfilment
- Retirement
At this age, trial n error should be a thing of the past.

I usually think if an employer sponsors someone from nigeria with cos, thats all thats needed for the person to pack his bags and travel as well as the ihs, visa fee and other peripheral stuffs.

Not until recently i started seeing point based criteria. I'm quite confused. Can someone explain please.

I can't tell if it has always being like this but at 2021 when I started following the skilled worker visa. applicants will need to accrue a total of 70 points to be eligible for the visa.

The applicable 70 points threshold for a skilled worker visa is made up of 50 points for mandatory criteria and 20pts for tradable criteria. You'll need to get 50 mandatory pts from the following

*A genuine job offer from a licensed sponsor-20pts
*English proficiency-10pts
*Job offer which is at level of rqf3 or above-20pts

Then you'll need an extra 20pts which can be gotten from the attached picture to complete your required 70pts for you to be eligible for the visa

Failure to meet the required points will lead to a visa denial in most cases, I have a friend who did the normal ielts and and not the one for uk which is ielts for ukvi. The visa officer who attended to his application subtracted 10pts from his 70pts and was left with 60pts but was given 10days to provide the evidence that he has met the English requirements(ielts ukvi, ecctis, etc), but my guy couldn't meet up within the short period of time which later made them deny his visa.

Ag shame. That's where these discussions should be taking place. If not, the thread is not serving its purpose.
Perhaps to get insights into the Skilled Worker, one should peruse the caseworker guide.
Skilled Worker caseworker guidance (accessible) - Updated 4 January 2023
Mandatory points requirement
Assessing tradeable points

Recently, they 'remove' the requirement on graduate qualification. That opens up meeting the skilled kob requirements.
The YouKay gov Skilled Worker site is 'silent' on the points!
If you have a 1. COS, 2. a job in the Skilled Worker Eligibility list (eligible occupation code), English ticked, then your points requirement should be a done deal.
If however the employer is one of those dodgy ones, your points might not be meet. Why, because they would most likely have not done the basic checks on your job and your eligibility.

Universities are opposing the idea! That it will result in burn out and affect academic performance.

They are however unanimous in the plan to stop switching from student to work visa before completion of programme.
