Oops! Sorry you had such an experience.

The BA School run by Eno Eka is more fixated on optics and revenue than delivering value.

I once attended one of her sessions and all I could see was hype, motivation and a marketing scheme to get more money from students. I've had to unsubscribe from their mailing list after they bombarded me with tons of promotional content.

Regardless of your pathway - IIBA or BCS - you can self-study and ace the exams but the bigger challenge will be accessing the job market on a personal pedestal. However, this won't be much of an issue if you're looking to transition into a BA role within your current company. Either way, nothing is impossible, might just be difficult initially.

For IIBA's CBAP, you can buy the Udemy course by Ciel Academy. Engaging lectures delivered by a Nigerian, Obalim. For BCS, you can self-study as well or register with Twim Institute, a BCS-accredited academy in Nigeria.

I recently saw posts from Advance Care UK. It somewhat akin to High Impact Hub. See their poster below.

If person 2500 pound and e no get job after 2/3 months, no be gbege be that?

Thanks Bro for those helpful insights. You are right about their unending promotional content and marketing gimmicks. Lol at the last paragraph. It's not even just about getting a job, the question is will their course offer as much knowledge as it ought to?

Universities are opposing the idea! That it will result in burn out and affect academic performance.

They are however unanimous in the plan to stop switching from student to work visa before completion of programme.

So students can't switch again? They also need to ensure all companies have sponsorship or make it easier to obtain one if we are keeping it a buck

Can't be complaining of labor shortages and be putting restrictions everywhere. Canada and Australia removed those restrictions and are currently enjoying it so

UK schools should stop pretending to care about students who don't get access to public funds and are affected by cost of living issues too. Massive fees, increase in cost of living and no cushion to fall back on, how them expect people to do am?

Any agency? Any recommendations

Unfortunately, Japa created another side hustle for many already in the abroad to exploit those desperately trying to leave ...this is what we are seeing now. One has to be very careful to discern the good from the bad.

Hello my people, My Naija passport will expire by May 2023 ending. I'd wish to visit Niaja embassy in March for renew. Considering Passport delay issue in Nigeria, I'm not sure whether same situation extend to the UK here or one can get it witin a certain time frame in the UK.
I want to ask if anyone knows the best time to starting the renewal waka maybe now or later.
Also, for biometric capturing, how the embassy go about it.

Thank you.

Hi all, I just need some advice from experienced people in the house. My visa expired on the 30th of January 2023. I have applied for a renewal which is not out yet my biometrics is in the 9th of February. I told my employer on the 30th of January that my visa was expiring that day but I have submitted another application.
Naso wahala start. Calls from head office HR, that I currently don’t have visa and cannot work. They immediately put me on leave without pay starting from 31st until visa is sorted. I gave the HR my application reference number for them to carry out chef themselves, them no gree. Meanwhile I was the one that informed my manager just to be safe. It was not as if they reached out first that my visa was about to expire.
The latest one now is that they set up disciplinary action against me that I don’t have papers to work in the UK. I’m confused because everything just went out of proportion. The email I got says I can attend with a trade union or a work colleague and that it might lead to immediate dismissal and all.
I just need heads up on how to tackle this and if I really need to take someone with me for the disciplinary action.
Thank you all.

Don’t let any one harass you forasmuch you’re on the right side of the law which states that for as long you have a pending visa application your last granted visa makes you legal to work in the uk.(clearly stated on the home office website)You already have an evidence of a pending application, that’s your defence. Resist them. Some times these guys are just ignorant or xenophobic

What date did you apply for renewal? I guess they are trying to protect themselves because it could work against them. Still try and put up a defence. I'm sure you will be fine.

Elders in the house. I have a question about council tax.

I thought the student council tax exemption covers the entire household for the duration of full-time studies or am I wrong?

I’ve heard from two prospective landlords now who are saying it only covers the student and that their partners are expected to pay council tax.

I remember getting a council tax bill of around £1200 in Nov/December but I called to tell them we applied for exemption. They requested we send a signed copy of the schools exemption letter which I did the next day and since then nothing.

Does the exemption cover the entire household or

Please I need assistance with where to pass the night in London. I got an invite for a written assessment for a job interview in London on 15th of this month. I checked night bus on National Express, but the price is too high for me to afford( I don't have a job yet), and I can't afford to lodge in a hotel. I will be coming from Liverpool. Please anyone that can accommodate me for a night.

Keep calm and go through the process. While going through it, you should have been in ACAS like yesterday Friday already: unfair labour practice, forced leave, restricting or force deduction of remuneration
If what you narrated is what it is, your HR need a #reset.
Importantly, Bigtt76 asked a critical? ... When exactly did you apply for your renewal. As in when exactly; date, time, mode, where.
U'll need this at the disciplinary and ACAS. Renewal: You must apply online before your current visa expires

Hello elders,

For a student and her dependant living in a rented apartment that the landlord pays the council tax, how can they be exempt? The council tax is included in the rent and they've been paying for the last three months.

Speak to the landlord and send links showing the policy + the exemption certificate from the school.

It's weird that council tax is included in the rent of an apartment that's not a multi-family dwelling, anyway.
