Million Dollar baby 8/10

This movie is the embodiment of the saying “Dreams do come true, but sometimes at a great cost”(don’t know if it’s an actual saying. Just came up with it).

This movie is about a lady who aspires to become a professional boxer even when all odds seems to be against her. She doesn’t allow this weigh her down so she keeps on working towards that dream of hers even when it seems to get bleaker by the day. Her dream eventually comes true but at a price.

With a cast made up of stellar actors, one would expect the acting to be great and it certainly is. They directors also did a great job in showing the grueling things boxers go through. This made me appreciate boxers more.

Highly recommended.

This film made me depressed for hours after the ending.

All movies should have subtitles by default.
Be it movies that are shown in cinemas, Netflix, DVDs or even illegal downloads

After much anticipation, this was just a straightforward movie. Nothing spectacular. Somebody should come and explain to me how the english man understood yoruba despite replying in english.

Wakanda forever was just there and childish ,the most annoying is the movie is feminized,it felt like I was watching Wonder Woman Amazon movie .

No marvel Or DC movie will ever be on Netflix when they have Disney+ and HBO max.

I heard of the ALUU 4 being adapted for film last weekend after watching Shanty Town. I don't know how I forgot to drop it here.

It's the kind of adaptation and growth I'd love to see Nollywood pivot towards in the future. Not the same regurgitated shit we consume every other time.

I didn't hear of Linda Ikeji's involvement in the project. I just saw a headline and screenshoted it.

Damn, I've forgotten its this February. 😳
