Did you know Lagos State is the longest Federal Capital of Nigeria 1914-1991?

In summary, we can affirm that Lagos was the first capital of Nigeria from 1914, when the amalgamation took place, to 1963, when Nigeria cut off all ties with Britain to become a Republic and a Sovereign State. It stopped being a capital on December 12, 1991, when the Federal Capital Territory was moved to Abuja.

Lagos is the highest beneficiary of federal government investment, so when Tinubu supporters ask you why you are in Lagos, remind them and also tell them that Tinubu did not build Lagos, the federal govt did.

Tinubu now came to steal Lagos

Clarity please. Lagos State was created in 1967, not 1914.

Yes, it was, but Jagaban made Lagos the capital of Nigeria in that 1914.

He convinced Lord Lugard to move the capital from Calabar to present Lagos.

Lagos was not the first capital of Nigeria.

Lagos was a separate British mandated colony with Calabar being the capital of southern Nigeria.

It was until the outbreak of WW1 and fearing German occupied Cameroon that led the British to both move the capital to Lagos after almagating North, South and Lagos colonies into one.

Lagos has every right to thus start an agitation to be split from Nigeria all together as it was never part of the southern Nigeria or Northern Nigeria colonies.

What's you OSU business with Lagos ?

Lagos was left to rot after IBB moved the capital to Abuja .

Lagos only began to reclaim her glory from 1999 and you can not doubt that Tinubu help transform Lagos to the most fiscal independent state that has an economy that is greater than most African nations.

Stop obsessing over Lagos you insufferable osus .

Omo Ibo, stop lying to yourself. Lagos state was never Federal capital territory of Nigeria. Lagos Island, a tiny local government now in Lagos state was FCT and not Lagos state. Over 90% of the current Lagos state was never FCT. Lagos was part of the western region and industrialized by Awolowo. After the collapse of regional government, Lagos state was created in 1967 and the state existed distinctly from Lagos Island that was FCT till 1991.

Hereditary madness...so since lagos was capital,it is enough reason for your state to remain stagnant and unproductive.
