I checked about if Japan making a new stealth frigate right now.
Maybe Kumano? But Kumano is already commissioned last year.

Sorry, What is meaning "Japan been in the shadows"?
Please I wanna understand well.

Anyway, I'm sorry for very late reply to you.

Also DRDO is working on a long range air defence system to complement and then replace S400 in the future

Extended Range Air Defence System (ERADS)

DRDO ERADS is a mobile all-weather multi-launch net-centric Air Defence System comprising of 2 types of surface to air missiles

1. ERSAM range 150+ km
2. XRSAM range 300+ km

Each ERADS mobile launcher will carry 2 ERSAM & 2 XRSAM missiles

Each ERADS firing unit will consist of

1. 4 ERADS launchers
2. 1 S-band search & track radar
3. 1 X-band fire control radar
4. 1 X-band mast mounted radar for low flying target tracking

Long range targets includes fighter aircraft, bombers, AWACS/AEW&CS, Special mission aircrafts, Mid air refuellers, HALE/MALE UAVs, Subsonic/Supersonic CMs, low RCS targets etc

ERADS will also be able to detect & engage low flying, low RCS subsonic & supersonic targets with additional BMD capabilities

You have to be careful posting things that are not technically verifiable. There's not even enough power on board any combat aircraft to detect at 500km. Lets get real pls

Exactly why I said, "hype smiley ". The emoji too. Everyone knows that the Russians most at times release "wonder weapons" with exaggerated figures.
