Protesters Hit Abuja Over Supreme Court Order On Old Naira (Photos) by ebukajay184(op): 7:36pm On Feb 08, 2023
Some youths in Abuja on Wednesday protested the exparte order of the Supreme Court temporarily halting the move by the Federal Government to ban the use of the old naira notes beyond February 10, 2023, IGBERETV reports.

The protesters, who converged on the headquarters of the Central Bank of Nigeria and the office of the Attorney-General of the Federation, passed a vote of confidence in the CBN urging them not to back down.

The protesters carried placards with inscriptions such as, ‘Justice Ariwoola, resist plot to use our Supreme Court undermine democracy,’ accused the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Olukayode Ariwoola, of allegedly working for the interest the All Progressives Congress, its presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu and G5 governors.

If dem born dem well, make dem go protest in front of the angry Nigerians queueing for their own old money at numerous ATM spots.

We truly need to ask these ones the question reserved for zombies.

Obi had his chance to show leadership and care, but he rather reminded us that he is still the same wicked and visionless Peter Obi that Ifyalways lamented about in 2012.

Now we know that Obi is just a charlatan who claimed he was running on behalf of Nigerian masses.

Olosho wey change location, begin claim virgin.

Empty political prostitute without any enduring ideology except the quest for easy ticket that allows betrayal and disloyalty.

God helped to reveal that the acclaimed last chance is actually a one chance disaster.

Anambrarians have already forewarned us about this fake messiah who "can best be described as a curse and bad omen".

The enemies of the Nigerian people. How can you in good conscience support the suffering of the people just to gain some votes.

The real enemies of Nigeria are Obi and Atiku. Nigeria is doomed if either of them manage to win this election. Now, I think BAT deserves my vote

So ifyalways is the person that would decide the future of Nigerians or you think Nigerians would vote a drug baron?
Re: Protesters Hit Abuja Over Supreme Court Order On Old Naira (Photos) by jrobbins:
A lot of people are rejoicing about the supreme court judgment but has failed to think about it critically. The order only states that the old notes shouldn't become ordinary paper by the deadline, but it hasn't addressed the issue of low cash supply. Most people have already deposited their old notes in banks and the order doesn't states that banks can pay out old notes. So everyone will still have to go to banks to get cash and the bank will only pay out new notes which is limited in supply. This judgement, except it's being modified, to allow commercial banks recirculate old notes, would only favour anyone who has stashed millions or billions of naira in a storage room, else we're still where we are, as the old notes hasn't yet expired and we're already facing problems because banks aren't allowed to push back old notes into the economy

This currency change is certainly hurting the crooked and immoral demented drug dealer - Tinubu and his supporters including the bigot chief judge of the SC .
Tinubu must not be allowed to buy votes. Therein lies his only hope

After the protest, they will still go to the banks to queue up for 20k maximum withdrawal. I support the judgement of the supreme court not because it favours the vote buyers but it will ease the suffering of the masses.

First four monikers na same person

Desperation of Apc ..

They’re so insecured and scared over this Thant any protest is either Pdp or Atiku ..
That’s how Tinubu has been paying them in Yoruba land to scatter .. hoping others will join

Why is southwest only geopolitical zone that’s so scare of the cbn governor

Even kaduna is quiet .. and pos operators still charges their normal 100 ..

Fear of already failed ambition

Tinubu must contest

No matter how he planned it ..

He can never ever be the president of Nigeria

His recent campaign of power coming to south has sold him out over here in north

Yoruba automatically now forget Nigeria has a geopolitical zone

And northeast never rule this country with north central

Till northwest Kwankwanso stepped down for Atiku

The e go clear them .. that advert is meant only to decieve the gullible Yoruba people ..

Power to the people

It's either the supreme court should be cancelled from our Constitution or bigger review have to be made to the supreme court, I think we should come up with something that works for the betterment of Nigeria, look at how they manipulated the right of Machina. The president should constitute a high-level committee to investigate and prosecute them because they are not above the law, any judge that is involved in any wrong doing should be seriously dealt with. By this judgement, the interest of bandits, bokoharam and thieving politicians are duly protected at the expense of the law abiding citizens
