I don’t know if this is the right place to post this, please mod help to push to the right section Today is making it exactly one week and four days since my junior brother has been in cell I was in church last two sundays when I got a call to come to the station immediately that my brother has killed people,I ran out of the church and got to the station,on reaching there, that’s when I heard the whole story that my brother drove the car of one of his clients(my brother works in a car wash) and hit three people They were severely injured but not dead, they three people he hit were family members coming back from church(the mother, the son and the daughter),they boy’s two thighs bones have been broken, while the mother’s leg is broken, the daughter just sustained a broken nose. Not only did he jam these people but he has also destroyed a bike, the bike he jammed was what even reduced the speed of d car,if not those people would have been day I paid 52k for X-ray and gave 35k for drugs, the hospital bill was paid by the family of the affected And everyday I go there to give atleast 1500 for them to use and feed, they are responding well to treatment As it is now, they have been moved to a bone doctor and the man is charging 400k to treat and join back their bones but I begged till he came down to 250k I gave him advance of 40k and 2k for hot drink.Police are asking for 100k to bail my brother, the owner of the bike is requesting for a new one,not even talking about the car he damaged I’ve been mentally, physically and emotionally down I’ve told my brother he will remain in cell till I’m done running around to attend to these damages he has caused,it’s really difficult for me Modified:please I would appreciate any financial or legal support, this is getting bigger than me The bone doctor says he won’t collect 250k again, that he’s collecting 400k,that the boys bone is badly damaged and it will take the grace of God to heal well Please nairalanders help me |

This is why most of us don't believe in the so-called police reform, they need total purge. |

Lucasusoro24:let him.cool off in the cell for a while, then try and settle everything...you need money now.. bailing him is useless for now...silly kid |

mykymyk101:nigerian police is bad..but you see that bribe if 100k is a favour... because if that kid is charge to court..I know he doesn't even have a license..so it will be attempted murder....if any one had died...he will be charged for murder...the law says anyone driving without license and hits Someone is attempted murder and it's murder if the person dies...if he is charged to court, you will know that 100k is even a favour...we should be careful.. nigeria has laws o..don't just be an scapegoat |

rickpat:Everyday I go to see him at the station,I have to give him atleast 500 naira as he says he needs to give it to the leader of the cell, even with that, his whole body is full of bruises, they are still beating him I’ve been a really sad man for days now |

rickpat:The owner of the bike says if I don’t give a new bike,he will charge the case to court on counts of reckless driving and attempted murder, but the IPO of the case says let the injured people get better before they now attend to his bike and the rest |

Lucasusoro24:you see... anything you do..don't let it get to court...your brother will be on very severe punishment |
| Re: In A Mess With Nigeria Police Force by rickpat(m): 10:03pm On Feb 09, 2023 |
Lucasusoro24:I understand,it's really painful..if you have the cash, just bail him.. because if you get a lawyer, the police will take you as a troublemaker and might now put their feet on the ground for you brother to be severely punished |

rickpat:Attempted murder will never fly. At the very best it will be attempted involuntary manslaughter. 100k might be lower than what he may spend in legal fees and other things if the boy goes to court. But it is illegality, we must stop supporting illegality. |

mykymyk101:In this case the police are doing him a great favor. Please stop the hostility towards our men, especially the Police. |

dochenaj:check what the law says about driving recklessly WITHOUT A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE OR LEARNER'S PERMIT. and you think the legal fees and getting a lawyer will be less than 100k? .you funny Sha. if that boy is charged to court,he will regret it..don't mislead anyone..let them settle out if court..if not..the damages and legal fees will be much..plus severe punishment for that boy... driving without a valid license is a huge offense.... .well..I won't argue, what do I even know?..you may be a SAN.. good morning |
