The Edo North Senatorial race has seen its share of political drama and tensions, with the latest being the confrontation between former Edo Governor and Edo North Senatorial candidate, Adams Oshiomhole, and supporters of Peter Obi, popularly known as "Obidients." The incident took place on Thursday, as Oshiomhole was leading Bola Tinubu's presidential campaign tour through Benin City, the capital of Edo state.




Oshiomhole, who was the former chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), was making his way to the rally venue on Ring Road, when he was met with a huge crowd of Obi supporters, who were chanting his name non-stop.



In a video that quickly went viral, Oshiomhole and his team could be seen disembarking from their vehicles and approaching the podium, but as they did, the chanting grew louder, and the crowd continued to express their support for Peter Obi.

Despite Oshiomhole's attempts to calm the crowd and wave to them, the chanting continued, leading to Oshiomhole and his entourage being chased away from the campaign ground. In the video, Oshiomhole and his team appeared defeated and confused, as security officials had to assist them down from the podium and into their vehicles, before they quickly drove away from the scene.

Oshiomhole should just respect himself and promote his candidacture. Promoting someone like Bola Tinubu as president of Nigeria is an embarrassment to our sanity, values and wellbeing as a people!

As far as I am concerned, Oshiomhole is a great candidate, but promoting Bola Tinubu simply means pushing his toying with the sensibility of the people.

Nigerians have really suffered under APC

It's only Peter Obi that has been campaigning to students and generally to the youths because he has a clear plan for them.

Tinubu is mainly campaigning in open stadium to Muslim faithfuls in the north. That is why he went for Muslim Muslim ticket
