They are doing well without government help thank you...plus they are working for themselves...not for you, not for me, not for the masses

It is like you are losing the thread of your points.

Yes, the poor man can have his refinery by getting a business proposal, getting a loan and building his refinery via loans

Even dangote refinery...70% of the money came from loans.

Plus refineries cost so much money that government cannot just give everyone who wants money a loan (plus, as experieince from government loaning money to farmers and businessmen over the years has shown, most of the loans don't get paid back).

It is like you are losing the thread of your points

I think you are miss understanding me.

The people will work or use the facilities for their own progress not government... I am not talking about the communist system here.

Just a bit of correction, the Aba manufactures are not doing well..

As for refineries, may b you are not aware some people refine crude locally. If the get the right tools they won't fail. Who know like money?

Let's tell ourselves the truth a poor man will never ever get loan to build a refinery.

A poor man does not need loan. What they need is the right infastructure, knowledge and more opportunities open to them.

Anyways....you want to run an industry , you need money and money needs are met in a way by the profit motive.

If you want to benefit from a big man company...buy shares.

This is pure capitalism, not industrialization.
True industrialization is when the masses can easily build or play a very important role in the industrialization process and also benefit financially.
In summary, true industrialization will enable the masses make real man money directly.
This project will only make the rich richer.
No be today govt don dey promise refinery.

Lovely

I wander why lovely projects like this were not done under the PDP between 1999 and 2015.

The people of the South South will reward the APC and Asiwaju with massive votes in the Presidential Election.

Imagine an open factory, wia anyone who has gone through training, can manufacture or produce there.

Wont it solve a problem?

Some black Smith's in the west make those big pots mama put women use with local tools.

If government/organizations build a morden factory for them to scale up and upgrade their product quality, what will u call that?

I mean an open factory for all of them to manufacture.. Will it work or not?
rich people were once poor people or middle class people but they created a product that was popular and making sales so they made money.

to create a product they needed to get education or university degree, then work experience, then get a loan or investors to sponsor them then they started their own small companies which later grows to become a big company.

Kobonaire4 has explained everything but your hate for rich people is blocking your brain...

I don't think it will fail in Nigeria. The suffering is much, no body will miss such an opportunity.

You mean, if government for example. Provide mordern machines and cottage industries for local palm oil manufactures in our villages for them to scale up and mordenize, it will fail?

I doubt..

Or government teach them how to build these machines and also provide avenues for them to build the machines, they will throw the opportunity away.

Let's try it first..
It is not the job of the government to teach people how to build machines that's the job of universities and companies and also the intelligence
of the person who is starting the business..

it is not the duty of the government to build machines and cottage industries for local palm oil manufactures in our villages because most of the people in villages lack university education and have never worked for companies that can give them work experience so that they understand the process of building machines and besides each palm oil product will have different ingredients and people ( buyers ) may prefer the palm oil produced by person A than buy person B palm oil who is in the same "cottage industry for local palm oil manufacturers" as person A so what is the point of the cottage industry since you think and want everyone to do well.

the point is you can't force people to buy from person B if buyers prefer person's A products.

again Kobonaire4 has explained everything.

If Aba manufactures get cottage industries to enable them scale manufacturing, will it fail?

If Aba manufactures are tot how to manufacture parts and have access to tools and machines for manufacturing will it fail.

That's the system I am talking about, let the poor man also have is factory, refinery, biz, etc.

No be only the rich go dey make am for Nigeria. This trend is very bad.
this is why businesses have a Research Department or division. so that they can educate themselves on how to design and manufacture parts...

the poor man can never have his factory, refinery because they do not have the university degree, technical know-how and money to own and build and manage those things.

if the rich man doesn't make it then the poor man becomes poorer and the rich man also becomes poorer... and in the end there's no one to give jobs to the poor man who has become poorer which means the poorer poor man cannot get work experience and technical know-how to even start his own biz if he wants to because due to your mentality the rich man has become a poor man because you don't want him to make it.

I am yet to see the picture of the petrochemical refinery site. the picture you uploaded are pictures from a drilling rig site.
I can see the land rig, waste pit, flare stack and the camp site. I hope you did not download the pictures somewhere to deceive us.

He has tried in Industrialization drive by providing the enabling environment and influencing setting up industries across the state. He has however not done well in terms of capital development compared to other state that collects the same amount of money. On this regard, Udom Emmanuel made Akpabio seem like a god.

Note that Akwa Ibom did not make any financial contribution to setting up the industries, even though they have equity in the Companies. Their equity is gotten by given the companies land with C of O. This what other states like Lagos and Ogun is doing to attract investors.

The question is where is Akwa-Ibom's money going to?

Hunchogee:
More .. What do you think about Udom Emmanuel industrialization drive??

Please can someone inform that absentee governor that kiosks and road side shanties have taken over the City of Uyo. Under all the flyovers, pedestrian lanes are being taken over by illegal markets!!! A responsible government would never turn a blind eye to the traffic and chaos caused by the NNPC mega station on ikot ekpene Road, why can't the entrance be directed to the back to free the highway. The Nasarawa area is a total rejected and abandoned part of town thrown to the hausa community to do what they like. Yet he wants us to support his candidate? He must be joking. angry angry

If he is clueless about what he should do, he should go for tutelage mbok!!!!. What happened to building new markets and incentivizing relocationhuh? On Itam market days, people display their wares ANYWHERE, I MEAN ANYWHERE- streets, pedestrians lanes, flower beds, on top of fountains, road medians, under the flyover, etc. Same thing at the Ikot Oku Ikono flyover (that one is even worse!!!., Even the new third ring road, people are displaying wares in the pedestrian lanes and even the medians at junctions, Ibom plaza is another sick one. Let me not talk about public transportation. Akwa Ibom is not known for this mediocrity!!! Wike is building 12 floyovers and nobody is allowed to display anything under there but with our clueless boy governor here anything goes!!!!! Are the fountains at Itam working? Uyo is dark at Night. With the amount of billions of naira that come in as exposed by wike, the man and his team are either weak and clueless or greedy and stupid simple!!!!!, he should shift for someone who knows what to do about urban planning and development as it doesn't start and end with awarding 3rd ring to a contractor who hasn't finished the road yet, he ran to commission it. Uyo, as we speak, needs more than 10 new markets (well-built ones), Uyo master plan should be revisited and things should be put in proper perspective. How can he know what is happening in the state when his heart and soul is in Lagoshuh May 2023 should come oooo so that he can run back to Tinubu's backyard in Lagos where he is planning retirement and leave Akwa Ibom for us.
