Jesus was more of the modern teacher and who Christians are instructed to follow regarding daily living.

Your question should be something like does marriage, childbearing, etc. even have anything to do with the Kingdom of God?

Modern teacher? Jesus Christ is God's New Covenant and Law in the Kingdom of God, the Constitution in a land called known as the Kingdom of God. What exactly is modern about that?

“If men should struggle with each other and they hurt a pregnant woman and she gives birth prematurely but no fatality results, the offender must pay the damages imposed on him by the husband of the woman; and he must pay it through the judges.But if a fatality does occur, then you must give life for life" Exodus 21:22-23

So God said anyone who mistakenly injure the life in a pregnant woman and kill the baby must be killed.

Why?

"For you produced my kidneys; You kept me screened off in my mother’s womb" Psalms 139:13

Because the life enters God's record right from conception, now try to think of what God will do to the deliberate killer of a baby in the womb.

This is more of the answer I sought. Though the situation related more to accidental miscarriage, it was the only perceivable situation at the time. Hundreds, if not tens of thousands of years later, women pay for societally accepted means of ejecting unwanted fetuses.

My reason for creating this thread is to prove that the Bible either needs an update or abandonment as a means to guide one’s life — especially in a future where many commonplace events were inconceivable during creation of then laws.

You see constitutions, those serve more to guide the common man than any religious text will.
