No new notes, no elections. Period. Put the suffering masses first. Even the Nigerian government with it's military can't stop another revolution especially if it emanates from the north.
Forget about the northerners. Their belief is that it has already been destined by Allah that we must suffer as Nigerians. There won't be any protest on their side

I've stopped collecting old notes

And I'm waiting for the police to arrest me

As people said the police are arresting those who won't collect it.. na police open business for me
Police that cannot arrest people selling fuel at N450 even with huge subsidy payments. I can never play into the hands of greedy kleptomaniac politicians. I stopped using the old notes on January 29th 2023.

Here in Auchi, old naira is still accepted everywhere, I withdraw 10k old naira yesterday from pos and I spent about 8k in the market same yesterday, make una dey play.

It took less than 24 hours for old currency to become mostly useless in Lagos.

Bro, you have stayed long enough in this country with this grade of people running government, and I guess you should be able to predict their moves. Issues of old note will be settled on Monday after Feb 25, and it will remain a legal tender. Although they may retain this cashless policy on steroid. Meat sellers and Vegetables woman are now accepting transfer…soon many will have POS machines.

From now till 25th of Feb, there will be no clear declaration by the government on the old note as a legal tender.

Hehe. My old boy they enter Auchi come find old notes, him no gree see. Me self, na 2K remain. I go enter places tonight to withdraw old or new notes. Yet to see one single person reject the old notes from me or any other person.

Business people want to make their daily money, rejecting the only available money (old notes) is same as closing shop for now... And no business person wants that!
Re: New Naira Policy: Do People Still Accept Old Naira Notes In Your Area? by GideonG(m): 1:28pm On Feb 15, 2023
In Billiri, Gombe state Old note is history, only one shop I saw multitudes of people queuing to spend their last old notes.

Today is the day I cashed out 1k note (new note) I spent 250 and got my change in new notes back to back I guess we have been compelled to a cashless society and new notes is the only legal tender devoid of any iota embarrassment
