In Benue, after the circular from CBN yesterday most people are now rejecting the old notes...

I went round filling stations today trying to buy fuel with the old notes with me but could not, I later saw a lady selling engine oil πŸ›’ who agreed to collect, I used the whole note to buy oil πŸ˜”

Na wickedness be this!

Folks this situation is not funny. In my area in Lagos even vendors are not accepting old naira notes.
How can one cope from now until they finish election.
Any way it has already reduced infidelity and hookup business.

Benin City has been Boiling all through today. Banks glasses destroyed and some set ablaze. ATMs of many Banks destroyed. Deaths recorded.
No fuel station is receiving old money. I had to buy fuel using my Atm card but I still collected old notes from my passengers because I do transportation business. We didn't have a choice but to collect. Commuters in Benin City can hardly afford transport fare now. No cash in Circulation. The situation is bad. POS refused all old noted deposits all day. Stores in my street stopped receiving old notes until this evening.

We're using it normal here in Onne Rivers State, it's just supermarkets, eateries, and petrol stations that are misbehaving, I even withdrew 10k this evening and I've spent 8k
