CBN is simply trying to be clever by half since they know the governors are already ahead of them. If Banks are still collecting the old notes, then business can still collect them as legitimate means of exchange and then proceed to deposit same in banks.

This kind of policy summersault is what happens when you try to implement an illegal decision despite the order of the Supreme Court and the very obvious hardship that citizens are facing. Kudos to the courageous governors who have ordered their residents to continue to accept the old notes as means of exchange. They are the heroes this period. Big shame on all those who are supporting the suffering that Buhari and Emefiele are inflicting on Nigerians simply because of politics. After the election, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu will reverse the inhuman policy.

This ode has turned on Buhari just so he could secure his next meal. Just kill yourself dude. This is no way to live

Foolish people celebrating it as a win for tunubu, the process is still thesame, you still need a reference number from cbn to pay in and at max 500k….this is what the cbn wants, the aim is still on track to mop up all old notes before election.

Don't they think this through before activating it? Imagine a policy IMF and other financial institutions condemns

Mr Emefiele is trying the Masses anger, for locking down their Money and he started telling' them stories!
Why are we like this ,as a Nation?
Why can't we be truthful in all we do?
Why should the Masses be suffering while the CBN Governor and his entourage are spending New Notes, while even the Old Notes summited by their directives are not replaced immediately with the New ones?
Shame!

You can't generate the reference code more than once with your BVN, and you can't use the code for more than one deposit.
So if you like go to 500 banks
This Nigeria. He can get 10 relations and use them for the deposit. So forget the English.

Something is definitely wrong with our leadership policy making decision.
From the incessant of this decision, people both literates and illiterates have predicted what ll happen and rightly they are happening.
From my own view am not against the policy but the implementation time is what am against. This is totally the wrong time, it should have come up 2 years ago or next 1 year to come.
I fear for the forthcoming election, due to the confrontation with the security agencies, because the anger of the masses ll not ease till then.
God bless Nigeria.

You see why APC Governors are right

Emefiele is a clown

I can deposit 500K in 5 different bank accounts making 2.5m meaning old notes is still a legal tender .....since the deadline specified is April 10 . Alternatively if you have individual and corporate accounts ....500k in each account

Redesign Policy is completely defeated.
You are the said Clown here. Didn't you read that you have to go through CBN portal? If any of the recent digital identity numbers are ask from you(bvn or nin);the number of times you want to redeem the money will easily appear like a mid-day sun.

CBN just made a joke of themselves.

How many CBN branches do they have in each states that they want those building to be the only point of returning old notes?

It is as tho these guys at CBN kept their brain at home before declaring policies. This is exactly why Naira and dollar wahala persists because CBN has been trying trial and error policies for years.

. That's to be expected. Emefiele thinks the CBN would be insulated from chain reaction consequent upon grievances to he and his principal's demonic and utterly sadistic policy?

The answer is simple! Make say 50% of mopped up monies available in the redesigned form and good luck with Cashless Banking.

You confiscate cash without a care for our small daily transactional needs like food and transport and expect all to be well? Worse still enforce a mindless slashing of daily withdrawal limits? Haba!

It clear that the CBN Governor is been remote controlled. There is something abnormal about his actions. He even sounds strange when talking nowadays. Hope some people have not held him hostage blackmailing as he does their bidding. What kind lack of order in all this.

4. A new App will be developed by CBN to enable customer to make the one off deposit within the extended 60 days.

5. A customer cannot make more than 500k deposit within this period and it cannot be splited.

6. Customer making above 500k will have to visit the CBN.
