LoL,I thought I was the only one who thinks his looks is trumping his talent but he has time to grow though, he's an industry baby. I also haven't seen Call me by your name but from the trailer, there was nothing in it for the audience to refer to him as the new Hollywood it boy IMO
The only young stars from the top of my head I can see that have Di Caprio's ceiling is Austin Butler, Jonathan Majors, Daniel Kaluuya, Lakeith Stenfield, Robert Pattinson, Bill Skarsgard. Etc.

Chalamet na fine boy looks and teenage love sensation na en make am popular.
He's very much sought after but I never see that generational raw talent in him.

Well, the last time I saw her on-screen (Wheel of Time), the hotness wasn't really there anymore. She looks attractive tho, but that pull is no more.
She's 44 now...

Antman and the wasp quantumania

It's an above average movie that was marketed as a bigger deal than it it is. I went in with low expectations and it was just an ok movie.

This movie was marketed as an avengers level movie but it's just another antman movie so I get the disappointments all around.

Jonathan majors killed it as Kang but I would have loved for him to debut in another movie or just show up towards the end because the script of the movie didn't do his character justice at all. Michelle Pfeiffer was the only other stand out in the movie, she sold Kang as a major threat. Paul Rudd as antman was antman, the rest? ehmm...

The end suprised me a bit and not in a good way but anyways Phase 5 starts with an above average bang. Don't get me wrong, this movie imho is better than every movie in phase 4 except Spiderman no way home and to an extent, multiverse of madness.

The mid credit was mixed for me, a bit wacky to be precise and the post credit was just a teaser to an upcoming series.

6.7/10

Let me wait for the Dune sequel before I give Butler any flower

This right here is what I hate the most about Superhero shiit...comics especially

What is this garbage...quantum this quantum that...
Utter nonsense
The highlighted part in your pic is totally a major spoiler man, most especially since the movie is like 48 hours old.

And "Quantum" is perfectly logical to be synonymous with a comic material if written properly, so "Quantum Realm" was by far, the least problem the movie had.

Some people just have the herd mentality of criticism of what others criticize.

How many times was "ring" mentioned in the lord of the rings again? Or skynet in Terminator? Or "winter is coming" in GOT?

What exactly is wrong with saying Quantum so much is a movie like antman?

Anyway, antman has always been a fairly above average movie. Anyone expecting 7/10 or above rating quality from the movie should know this.

I have serious hatred for that word "Quantum"

It's a bullshît excuse to explain lazy writing or when the writers bring up something that makes no sense or some high tech or the existence of something...
They just throw around the word "Quantum"

Anytime I hear that word I cringe so much...
It screams bad writing to me instantly

big difference...

The problem with comic book stories throwing the word Quantum is that it actually means Jack shît...
It's rather just an excuse to cover up holes and give answers to questions they couldn't bother to answer

It's been overused so much that it is infuriating

There's even been numerous memes and parodies about it in CM world...it's basically a convenient magic or plot device to cover up lazy writing

At this point, I seriously doubt if you would know "bad writing" even if it is staring at you in the face because of this your warped thinking. "Quantum" is a concept and should not immediately scream bad writing to you because i have seen tons of good written movies that deals with the concept "Quantum"..."Interstellar", "Contact", "Primer", "minority report ", just to name a few.

Exactly my point. The movie concept is about Quantum or Quantum travel if you will so it isn't far fetched or beyond logic that it is repeatedly mentioned during the course of the movie.

Pray tell how many CBM that used the word "Quantum" to cover up lazy writing. List at least 5 and i bet you, we will be totally convinced.

What knowledge of Quantum physics do you have to make these claims? I am asking this nicely.

Generally, not so much is known about Quantum physics, so there's no way they would write a correct movie that tally with reality, at least I'm not expecting such from them.

Antman is a B/C movie, that's how Marvel wants it, so any inconsistency in it couldn't bother me.

Each LOTR sequel had them saying ring for about 100 times, that's still a lot. cheesy

literally every superhero movie that used the word

And I'm sure comics are the same...

Hey here's a new tech or new story point...
How do we explain how it works?
Why bother? Just throw around the word Quantum physics and maybe some gibberish...

The audience won't be able to criticize it cos it's "quantum physics"

thank you for this...

Basically my point...

If you're gonna write a power system, at least explain it...
If it's gonna be something that affects the plot, explain it and how it works and does...

Bad writing is when you throw a word around with neither you nor the audience having any idea about it...
It's a convenient plot device

It's not even an argument, literally everyone in the superhero world memes about it...it's sort of an inside joke

I don't easily get confused when it comes to matters of a cinephetic nature, and i am struggling to grasped what you are on about.

You haven't seen the movie, so you are practically hinging this your shallow theory on the thin ice of hear-say.

and at bolded, What the heck are you even implying? There are tons of movie with quantum as a concept that had excellent writing and i went further to name a few whilst you is talking about a movie you haven't seen by the way , and has refused to name any other movie to prove this your misguided theory.

It's only been Ant-man and Endgame that has really dealt with the Quantum realm in the MCU, so you are clearly reaching.
