They deliberately confiscated money from circulation without injecting news once into it. I'm suspecting that the President directive to CBN to recirculate the old 200 notes were empty directive. Because from what we can see happening is, CBN isn't doing anything to re-circulate the old 200 naira. Any you see in circulation is what wasn't confiscated just yet.

And this situation isn't going to improve even after the elections.

This why I'm still looking at people calling it cash swap....

Imagine breaking my Piggy bank and discover a old note of 100k and I took the money to the bank to get a new note so that I can return it back only for bank to be giving me 5k from it is that Cash Swap....

I think this was deliberate. If they didn't know about the unintended outcome, and coming to see how things are, they would have reviewed and take a step back. But they didn't.

It would have been fine if we are able to withdraw the 20k daily limit at the ATM without hitch
