I graduated from pti and I can tell you they don't run underwater welding rather they run commercial diving(scuba diving I) that runs for a period of 6-8 months for a cost of (153k-sch fees, you will buy all your swimming kits with oxygen and pay for all the excursion(rivers, sometimes sea around delta state and environs) after which you will write an exam at d end of everything that qualify you as a certified diver(that is if you pass)..after being certified as a diver you can proceed by running a one year program in welding to become an underwater welder..

NB: stressful but I bet you it pays off at the end cos most of their graduates(divers) are hot cake cos of the training they are subjected to

Thank you very much sir. I've been looking for where to learn scuba diving for close to 3yrs in Nigeria. I've got a welding certification already in MIG welding, just want to complete the dive training and then settle down to the dreaded underwater welding.

God knows I've always dreamt of working as a crew member in a shipping vessel

PTI would be a good place to start from, they run some welding programs and issue diploma on completion I think.

kiss Welding and Fabrication is a wonderful get-hands-dirty job that improve the economy of a society. Due to the fact that welding is a vocational skills that demands one's good hand-eye coordination, analytical thinking, innovation, passion, physical stamina, and what have you, so it is paramount and needful for our able-bodied, mental and clever youths to engage themselves in. Consequently, this will in turn give them fulfilled sense of self employed and financial freedom.

In fact, any job or trade...legitimate, our youths shall get into no matter how it seems, no inferiority.

It is disappointing, disheartining and pitiable at once the way some of the physically sounded but psychologically downed lad allowed themselves to be used as political thugs especially during election period. One will begin to see this urchins holding fatal weapons nakedly and going about.

I know quiet alright, that there are good ones doing their various jobs and some are apprentice, while some have diversified across...

The OP should have included sex, BBN etc and the moderators would have pushed it to front page.

They always ignore very important topics. Anyway, I don't blame them since they can't give what they don't have.

I learnt a whole lot about welding and fabrication back in the days.
I learnt the basics and advanced stages but it’s a very wide course I means from the categories of welding processes to the different welding and fabrication machines. Coupled with the wide range of safety precautions to be observed on each welding technique and or environment.
I’d love to venture into the business aspect of it someday anyways
