The Supreme court made a mistake initially by entertaining the suit.
tunapawizzy:
Loooool Supreme Court is smart with this one.
Supreme court has the responsibility to protect the integrity of the Supreme Court first. Any judgement of the Supreme Court that will not be respected without any consequence is better not delivered. Because it will only weaken the supremacy of the Supreme court.

It's like u telling someone, if u cross that line I will slap you, then the person crosses and u have no balls to slap that person. You will look like a joke when u tell another person not to cross that same line.

Yes I like this adjournment: Meaning - 500 and 1000 : old not accepted , new - not available.
No vote buying.
Lets see if APC & PDP can win without vote buying.
It would just limit it but these politicians they are the one that surchange us and bought the new notes from banks with their influence. I saw with my korokoro eye, how APC aspirants were campaigning and boasting that they don't transfer money that they come with cash and that was what they dropped for their supporters. Minimum given to each heads was #50,000.

They know it.
So they ate the bribes offered by the State governors while not also seeming to go against the Buhari goverment.
After the presidential election, every thing about the cash swap programme would naturally solve itself and there won't be any need for any judgement again.

The old notes are dead and buried unless you will go to El Rufai republic to deposit them in his banks and spend them in his markets and community.

See this olodo. Exparte order is just for 7 days and as soon as a case is opened, such order ceases.
Now Buhari order is in force. If you have any old notes, the only place you can deposit it now is El-Rufai Commercial Bank, along Jedijedi Roundabout, Kano.
Goodluck!
You are the real olodo! angry Supreme Court exparte order can only be vacated. It NEVER expires pending a final ruling.

Banks are collecting the old notes with reference code from the CBN website. Otondo! cheesy

The Supreme Court will deny jurisdiction. Ask a lawyer friend why. The CBN holds the aces.
Why haven't they done that already? By giving an exparte order, they have already assumed jurisdiction. cheesy

What is the essence of deciding on the matter ? We have election on Saturday and you want supreme court to say continue using old naira when is clear this current policy had reduced kidnapping and ability of corrupt politicians to buy vote . Most your candidate win by crook ? Why is doing the right thing ain't to evil in Nigeria? We will.not die ...imfact Nigeria will have a credible leader of there choice after this election . I just saw tinubu campaign team at gowon estate ..only a few people moving with them ...they rest are saying give us money ...Since politicians can't give our money or even transfer to electorates it means whatever vote they got is what they deserve
You have a point and we're on the same page, but what if Buhari didn't make the nationwide broadcast where he condemned the old 500 and 1000 notes and relied on the outcome of the Supreme Court?
Supreme Court would have been adjoining the suit while holding brief for the corrupt governors till after the election, while the old notes of 500 and 1000 would have been still legal and in use.

They just upholded the existing executive order meaning that 500 1000 naira banks can Still collect it , simple as that , as for 500 and 1000 naira old naira being legal tender I don't think so , supreme court is actually being careful not to clash with buhari executive order

You are off. This is what they after.

Delay it til after the elections and blackmail the FG into creating loopholes or even abusing the policy, giving room for them to do whatever they want.

It has always been the plan, drag for as long as possible.
