My sis these are not teens…

These are pry 5 students. Likely 8-9 year olds.

No one is questioning the importance of sex education. But it has to be introduced gradually and in correlation to age of the kids.

For kids that young this exposure/education is quite extreme!

Why call it special stuff, why not tell them it's called sperm if you know what you are telling them at this age is age appropriate? When I was in jss 1, many years ago, the bigger girls in my class would come and talk about their sexual escapades and lesbian act. It was traumatizing because I will spend time, imagining what and how they are doing what they listing amongst themselves. Telling them this will only make their inquisitive minds to want to know more.

I know with the advent of the wokeness culture, what makes Africa African is beginning to be shoved aside. Africa used to have values and norms which they upholds to the highest level. Sex education didn't used to be for children and it worked so fine.

Our contemporary society maybe trying to educate children on matters surrounding sex but I think they are going to far, it should be a very gradual step, with more knowledge added at different stages in life. Not just exposing everything in two shakes of a dog's tail.

I came across this, do u all think it's too heavy for kids
They didn't even say what the special stuff is but they can explain other things 🤦🏾‍♂️

This is no doubt, going too far for a Nigerian mind. The dynamics of our society may not be so perverse enough to expose a grade five pupil to vivid illustration of love making . Nevertheless to completely oppose sex education for kids is erroneous. Yes growing up without sex education may seem to have worked well but it really didn't. We only covered sexual crimes, abuses and irregularities WELL. We shut the teenage mind up regarding sex but didn't save them from being victims of sexual abuses and unsupervised exposure. With the society filled with sexual predators, abusers, pedophiles, rapist, sex offenders, harlots, sex buyers etc we can't really say No sex education worked out well.

I will encourage sex education with moderation and right guidelines but not eradication. Sex education for kids is very tricky and should be handled by professionals and trusted individuals (Parents) . As for the picture, I can't judge I don't know how Zambia works but if this had happened in Nigeria, I will frown at such level of education for a grade 5 kid.

So Mrs woke, tell me countries that sex education has eradicated sex abuses. With no record or sex offenders and harlot. We r listening, if una never do copy copy una no dey rest, saying sex offenders are covered in Nigeria I don't know but me with no sex education. I have not embark on a single sex offense before and after marriage

It is comprehensive sex education. It allows children to acquire knowledge about healthy sexual practices.

If a kid has acquired some comprehensive sex education, she would know that sex is between daddy and mummy. If one uncle tries to take advantage, she will immediately start wondering whether it is not a bad idea.
please permit a. Small piece of advice: DON'T LET YOUR KIDS OR KIDS CLOSE TO YOU TO HAVE ACCESS TO STUFF LIKE THIS.

THE RESULT WILL IMPLODE ON YOU.

Op, are you actually talking about the kids of this present day generation that can only be redeemed by God himself?

I can remember vividly as at 6-7 years ago when I was working as a bakery worker,I caught two kids of about 2-3 years having sexxx....I flogged them and took them to their respective parents, and told them what I caught both of them doing...Tho I was surprised initially, then I took a look at their parents, the kind of lifestyles they were living.. Immediately,I realized that those kids didn't just wake up one morning and started doing such shiit...But they must have been replicating what they must have seen their parents doing right before them...

So op,as we all can see,our society has been contamination beyond repair.....But we as parents, religious bodies, schools and the society as a whole needs alot of work to do in order to curb this menace..

Thank you
u are so right and very observant. I smh when a guy was saying grade 5 level is too early, maybe. I remember in the 90s, when I was still in Primary school. Many of our senior are having bf & gf. Come see a lot of luv letter in the dustbin. So what are we saying here, no be Africa we dey so. I remember a girl was already menstruating in primary 6. So I can't say if sexual education should be introduced in early age or older age, professional should be able to answer that. I was taught sex education in higher institution and I used to be curious, shy, fear& don't know anything about sex till I graduated. Have overcome the fear, but till today when the opposite sex touch me, I feel fear & embarrassed.

This is way over the line but in honesty Africa isn't doing enough on sex education because whether we like it or not, these teens will feel "things" and see changes in their sexual body parts as they mature and they are suppose to be taught about it and how to handle themselves.

I don’t like the book at all but—Children are having sex at a much younger age than they were years ago and that means children are getting pregnant and catching sexually transmitted diseases earlier. Think about the small students who recorded themselves having sex last year. Beatings and punishment might hurt but it doesn’t stop them and they still do it behind the parents back. Also, many children get molested but are too young to understand what is going on and are afraid to ask or tell their parents. My thoughts: withholding proper sex education hurts more than it helps. It won’t stop them from having sex and lack of education leads to diseases and pregnancies.
For parents: would you rather your child bring home a book about sex education or bring home a baby/diseases?

I read until the part where i saw "special stuff" then i also became very tired.

The description is too graphic for young kids.

You’re right but don’t some parents in poorer countries have sex at night in the same room as their children? I think that’s even more graphic and damaging than reading about it.
