I'm forcing myself to finish The Legend of Vox Machina S2

I thought some people said there was an improvement from S1

My problem with the show is not that it's bad...it's just that it's very average and does nothing special...

The story is average, the characters are average, the comedy falls flat...
The Dialogue also is tiring...
Nothing special really stands out,

The most interesting character from season 1 whose focus on revenge that was somewhat interesting, in season 2 he now has a more relegated role

Something about the dialogue of this show...I've noticed some Western animated shows seem to have very identical dialogue between characters as if they were all written by the same person with the same style

The mid-ness of this show is more apparent given that I paused a top quality show to watch this as it's just 12 episodes...but it's been almost a week and I can't even finish these 12 episodes

It's best they end it and end it on bang. Seeing S3, I was convinced that there is no writer in the world no matter how good that could spin it beyond S4 without it becoming bland.

Thought Zaslav was kinda pushing it out when I first saw it ending after S4. Man said they could exploit Succession in an AVOD setup. Bringing in people who like it to pay for the premium ad-free service.
That was before I saw the writer's statement.
I'd join when S4 debuts. 😉 I don too postpone this show.

Zaslav should look elsewhere and not milk this. HBO and WB have a reputable brand and heritage in TV serial making, and as such a plethora of good tv serial makers and writers will go to them to be picked up...just see thier line up for this year alone.. their success rate is so so high.

As for "Sucession", yeah, it's best you wait till S4 airs, so you can be served the whole meal 👌👍...a certified banger show, i tell you.

Most of these current wins from HBO could be credited to this guy Casey Bloys. That guy is a raw talented exec and genius creative. We know HBO has been great for a very long time and a pioneer of premium TV, but this guy's run has been unprecedented. Back to back major wins every year. And they're not stopping anytime soon. The type of projects I'm seeing in development and pedigree now ehn, I dey wonder what sort of competitive mindset this people dey incubate.
It's total TV domination everywhere across all genres if their plans comes to fruition. 🤯🤯

It's as if they don't even miss Game of Thrones at all.

just as I said this...the show picked up from episode 10

Best part was "Vox Machina, Fûck shît Up!!!"

The voice actors of the dragons are actually good. I might need to check their names...the lore in the show is also good...but the problems with the characters and story persist..

However what I didn't like in the finale was how that dragon was defeated...
All of them combined with their Vestiges could barely do anything...
Then Scanlan just decided "i'll stop running" and easily defeated the dragon with a single hit....wtf

If the Vestiges before could barely harm the dragons, how come suddenly, it killed it in a single hit?

Anyway...The Legend of Vox Machina S2....7/10

These parts were the best part of the entire S2

I still see the IT franchise ripe for series order. That prequel being genius move to me. Even the original IT was a 90s miniseries before it was rebooted. And many people still hold that era's Pennywise as their best killer clown.

There's an argument for the horror genre receiving success recently in TV format. The numbers is becoming numerous and true hits across every corner and subgenre.

There's: Midnight Mass, Stranger Things, True Blood, Vampire Diaries, The Originals, The Haunting of Hill House, American Horror Stories, Penny Dreadful, Kingdom, Hannibal etc

I've seen almost all. The 3 I'm yet to watch are all on my watchlist. And I know they'd be great — Haunting of Hill House, American Horror Story and Hannibal.
There are some that I didn't even add. But Horror genre has the broadest subgenre there is. It's very flexible and fits almost any era.


Penny Dreadful is pretty good.
Midnight Mass is the oga of them all. It's a thought provoking masterpiece. 👌 One of the best if not the best dialogue I've ever seen on TV.
