I am on ground in South West, Nigeria. I will be voting tomorrow. Canvassers and party loyalist have been at the houses of various politicians for cash disbursement. I can authoritatibely tell you that there is no/limited cash for vote buying.
I asked potential voters, and they said they may not come out to vote is they will not be given cash. Therefore, low turnout of voters may be recorded.

This argument sounds so stupid.

For most voters, most polling units are within trekking distances.

Anybody who needs to be cash induced first before they can come out to vote is a major part of the problem we face in the country with regards to moving away from the old syste of doing things which have kept us in doldrums for so long.

My fellow OBIDIENTs, the time has come!

I would have preferred a situation of rampant vote-buying than this wickedness that has constricted the growth of the economy. By the time we start accessing results of the elections, then shall we know the wickedness that was behind the implementation of the cash seizure policy.

There'd be widespread voter apathy in the South because the momentum has terribly slowed down, and I think that's part of the plan to enthrone AA. You see the North? They'd still record voter turnout of say 60% while you'd hardly get 20% down south.

But how do I say 'God bless Buhari' like you when I've lost more than 100k in legitimate earnings since his enforced nightmare of a policy started?. Moreso, when I feel it is done to confer advantage on a particular candidate and not provide a level-playing field as a lot of people are made to see it.

At the very early hours they usually restrict vehicular movements.

But it becomes linient as day gets old.
This is Nigeria. They like doung more than themselves. So expect the unexpected as you hit the road.
