Just know that Lagos is safer than Anambra. Sweet life dey Lagos even if you are an average income earner
What are you inciting by that statement you made up there. You people will just open that gutter you called mouth and vomit gibberish. You people just need to wake up from this tribal slumber you're. Tribal bigot everywhere. You people are very disgusting, to be very honest.

Abeg we need to be more mature than this. Someone asked simple question, instead of to ignore if you have nothing to say, you are here inciting tribal hatred.

Do not bother to reply me. I want to believe you've gotten my message.

Lagos is a friendly and accommodating state

No matter the struggle you will still succeed

For feeding, you can get rice 150, Beans 100, Meat 100 good to eat

Since your office is at Ikoyi, look for accommodation in areas like Yaba, Akoka, Shomolu, Palm Grove, these are areas to get strait bus to the Island

As for the traffic, you will just join and fit in because you must experience it through and flow

You will meet the good, the bad and the worst set of people
Just wow wow wow on the feeding part! The meat would be as small as chin chin, the rice will be like 50 grain, and the beans like 30 seed, Aside cost of house rent, the second most expensive things is cost of transportation and thirdly Food!...

You can't even survive the next two minutes with that amount of food in Lagos, and that's if you can get food of that amount, it would even be in the worse slum in Lagos where a decent being would not even wished to eat! cry

My dear
You will get such for a normal meal and 500 should hold the stomach

Unless you want to be going to Eaterys

If you have a big stomach or a glutton, just be cooking for yourself

You don't need to live in slum to eat low food

There is nothing like slum because Lagos is large and every local government is feeling the impact of this administration
Thank God for people that are buying land and developing it in rural areas making it to be close to urbans

Lagosians wakes from 4am to move out, but with grace of God

Set a budget.
Setting a budget for your lodging requires considering all associated expenses, such as rent, utilities, and transportation. You may need to be flexible regarding the kind of property you're searching for and the location because Lagos is recognized for having a high cost of living.

Examine different neighborhoods
Lagos is home to various communities, each with its personality and attractions. Although Victoria Island is a well-known commercial area, lodging may not be the most inexpensive choice. A variety of housing alternatives are available in adjacent districts, such as Ikoyi, Lekki Phase 1, and Oniru, all of which are priced differently.

Utilize property portals online.
Several online property portals serve the Lagos rental market. You can use these websites to look for houses based on location, cost, and other factors. On these platforms, you may also contact landlords and real estate brokers directly to arrange viewings.

Ask for suggestions
If you know anyone who works or lives in Lagos, ask them for suggestions on desirable areas and homes. They can have knowledge of the neighborhood rental market that will assist you in finding a suitable place to reside.

Think about co-living areas.
While still a relatively new idea in Lagos, co-living spaces are growing in popularity among young professionals. They might be a decent alternative if you're new to Lagos and hoping to meet some unique individuals.

alright, you can stay on the island from ajah downwards... but your tfare daily and traffic will be the issue. You'll have to get use to leaving home latest by 6/6:30am
,6:30? Dey play just dey play.....even if he's staying at Ikota he dare not leave home by 6:30 not to talk of staying at Lakowe
Re: I Have Gotten A Job And Am Relocating To Lagos, by BunbleBee: 12:49am On Mar 05, 2023
If you are working at Ikoyi, never you think of getting an apartment at Ajah talk more of places like Sangotedo, Ibeju Lekki. You'll get frustrated and mad so fast, you might lose your sanity.

Like lot of people mentioned up there, your best bet is Mainland, places around Ebutte Metta, Yaba, Constain, Oyingbo, Onike. Or Lagos Island places like Adeniji, Tinubu Campus, Bamgbose, CMS.

You can check use this website - nigeriapropertycentre (dot) com - to get an idea of the kind of houses and cost.

Lastly budget 700k for a selfcon of 450k.
