Many of us have been close to the East. And respect people from there. But at the same time, we remember the Mbaise dominated Odili govt. Then we did not know anything. Today, it is a different case. Nyesom Wike saved our asses, and though the compromise came in the form of a Muslim-Muslim ticket, I think that's a foregone issue now. Everyone is ready to live with it. Peter Obi never agreed to anything concrete, go and ask your elders. Politics is a game of negotiation, compromise and alliances. Like I said, you are being dishonest. When you're in Europe, UK or the US, is the question of identity a regional based thing. On the level of nationhood, is it uniform or broken. And if united, why ? Why aren't the defining local characteristics like accent, names, common ancestry (Scandinavians in Minnesota, English in Massachusetts etc)or lifestyle, taken over nationhood? That overarching 'sense of belonging.' Was it formed in a day? What were their trajectories to the development of a national identity, beyond uniform administration and common national borders?? When you answer that, then you know what I am saying.
