If all you are focused on is who wins the election, then you have missed the more fundamental issue.

The point is not about who wins (and not just the presidency, but every position contested), but that we should have credible, free, and fair elections.

Whoever the people truly voted for as their leader, is the leader that they deserve.

But when the outcome of an election is independent of the votes of the people, then the politicians will never be responsible to the people, but instead reward those that (will) helped them rig themselves into power
