Lagos is a mega city. It is the fifth largest economy in Africa. Lagos is richer than Ghana and Kenya.

Hence we should be comparing Lagos with Johannesburg, Cassablanca, Cape town, Pretoria, Durban, Rabat, Tunis and Cairo.

Prior to 1999, was Lagos a mega city? Some set of people designed and made it so...what stops other states from being mega cities....the difference is in the leadership

The problem with people like you is that you have refuse to read the history of your nation hence crafty politicians like Tinubu can easily manipulate you.

The Europeans settled down in Lagos when they first arrived Nigeria. They laid the foundation for the development of the entire island. That is why we have some parts of the island bearing European names till today like Victoria Island.

When Nigeria gain her independence, the FG continued the development. Almost all the main infrustratures in Lagos today were built by the FG. These include the Seaports, Airport, University, Bridges that connect mainland and island etc.

Lagos was already a mega city in 1999. From 1999-2007, the great level of decadence was witnessed in Lagos infrastructures . Hence when Fashola took over in 2007, he declared a state of emergency on maintenance of Lagos infrastructures.

That was how the slogan - Eko oni baje- came about. The few more infrastructures in Lagos today like the blue rail line were initiated by Fashola. However Tinubu is claiming the glory.

He did not commence and commission a single world class infrastructure in Lagos during his 8 years regime.
