The ruling party in Lagos state, All Progressives Congress (APC) on Sunday said it is fully prepared for the March 11 governorship election.

Recall that the Labour Party won the presidential election in the state and there is anxiety as to whether its governorship candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour will repeat same feat in Saturday against Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu who is seeking reelection for a second term in office.

However speaking with DAILY INDEPENDENT, Hon. Seye Oladejo, Publicity Secretary of the APC in Lagos said the party is confident of winning the election as the opposition parties in the state pose no threat in any way.

According to him, aside massive mobilization of the electorates, the APC believes that Governor Sanwo-Olu's superlative performance during his first term is a major selling point which will make Lagosians give him another mandate of four years.

He said " We are very well prepared for Saturday's governorship election. Massive mobilization of voters with the landmark achievements of the governor during his first tenure as our selling points. We anticipate no problem. We will win".

Politically religiously the north took away Kwara from the Yorubas, the same thing await them in Lagos, Igbos want to dominate and take over.

The best gift any human being can offer to a man is "peace of mind" and freedom to practice what they want, this was what Afonja gave aalimi in Ilorin and it went wrong for Afonja of Ilorin.
The hospitality giving by Yorubas should not be taking for granted because the Igbos are becoming Russia Ukraine, the western world are playing some politics in the neck of Nigeria the earlier we wake up better for us.

The anger against Sanwo-olu seems to be centred around the EndSars issue.

But I ask, what would you have him do differently? In his capacity as the Governor he met the protesters, agreed to their 5/5 demands and infarct declared a curfew when it was getting out of hand.

Except anyone wants to be mischievous, Sawanolu or even Tinubu has no power to deploy soldiers. Only the C-in-C could do that.

By the way, how do you conveniently praise the Governor under whom corpses of people were found floating at Akwuzu River and who vehemently refused to honour the EndSars panel BUT turn around to crucify Sanwo-olu for all the sins of the EndSars.

Except there is another agenda we aren't privy to, then it's double standard and hypocritical!
