INEC’s Application To Court To Reconfigure BVAS Raises Integrity Questions by Danburuwa: 6:13pm On Mar 07, 2023 |
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) decision to approach the Court of Appeal in Abuja, for an order varying the permission the court had previously granted the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party (LP) to inspect materials used by the commission in the conduct of the February 25 presidential election has elicited questions about the integrity of the recently held poll. This is the same BVAS INEC fraudulently wants to reconfigure @ this crucial period? INEC is a fraudulent and criminal agency of government masquerading as a political party to rig election for APC. 271 Likes 24 Shares

Mr. INEC postpone the governorship elections if you have to postpone it! It will not be the first time elections have been postponed. You have not compiled with the order of the court allowing LP to inspect the equipment but you are asking the same court to allow you to reconfigure them. You must be mad! LP/PDP must be allowed to inspect and extract data from BVAS before INEC can do any further thing with them. I hear APC has applied too. 47 Likes 4 Shares |

JNEC said they need sufficient time. Okay. Court should just decline their request as such will guarantee the election to be postponed so that dat sufficient time will be available. Two weeks extension would kill us. Any reconfiguration at this time will further dent INEC. If we can't procure new set of BVAS then allow Obi access to get certified true copies of data stored in d BVAS 12 Likes 2 Shares |

"What INEC is trying to do is diversionary, but most importantly, they want to wipe out the BVAS accreditation data, which is the most reliable source of data, from the BVAS machine." -Barr. Onyechi Ikpeazu (SAN), Peter Obi's attorney after Court today. 29 Likes 2 Shares |

Let me tell you all the truth. As much as there's doubt over the integrity of INEC, all Nigerians must understand that the technology we use is not on same level as what's used in developed countries. It's even possible our INEC budget was higher than that of countries that conducted elections and there was no suspicion of foul play from all parties or the masses. One on one, you all know that Nigeria lacked stable power supply. The network we use for phone calls, subscriptions or e-banking is not same level as what a country of the age and resources of Nigeria should have. I laughed within me when INEC said they now v BIVAS. Of what use is technology when what you need to power and make it function smoothly is not available. Don't be surprised when you see people borrowing INEC power bank or gen to power some equipments. What am saying is we are at an all time low. Instead of successive govts to be doing well, every Tom Dick and Harry ll come in after election and eat his/her own. One major problem, reduction in cost of governance hasn't been solved. Buhariii won my heart with it in 2015 but I later realised the guy na scam. He even ate and allowed others to eat. What I expect from youth is the real movement of making Nigeria work. Not Obidient, not Take It Back, not Revolution, not ENDSARS. It's two things 1. A call on senate in national assembly and reps that all cost of governance, salary and emoluments should be slashed to civil servant ratio while the 1999 constitution is reviewed. 2. A determination to vote out candidates based on personal convictions. A lot voting don't v genuine info about who they are voting. We can hold them for real by the scrotum if we demand for reduction in allowances of public service and elected personnel. This ll make politics less attractive. My opinion. 14 Likes 1 Share |

Racoon: Church take back your country - Peteru Obliar Lies and sectionalism will not win you elections. Nigeria belongs to all. The elections have to put to bed the idiotic line and strategy of mobilising people based on religion and ethnicity rather than reason and common sense. Wish you well on your next 4 years of wailing without direction. 2 Likes 4 Shares |

IT guys about to cashout from INEC and APC. I'm sure APC would be willing to pay any amount just to mess up with the IREV database. LP needs to be ahead of them. Scrap everything on the IREV site before they're tampered. 7 Likes |

No matter how far a lie runs, the truth will always catch up with it. Criminal INEC wants to reconfigure BVAS for what? Their lame excuse is the gubernatorial elections... Let them postpone the elections so that Sanwo Olu can keep writing his 'love letters'. We want to see more gubernatorial aspirants from other parties kneel down like Peter Mbah. 21 Likes |

INEC has a right to the BVAS. I pray the courts to postpone LP inspection till after the Gubernatorial. INEC has an election to conduct in a matter of days. Any act preventing them from this is tantamount to an electoral malpractice. 1 Like |

So without this Court of Appeals ruling, INEC would have gone ahead to reconfigure the BVAS record? Don't we as a country have a need to keep the record of the election? Presidential election result oh not even councillorship election result. If LP/PDP hadn't got that order and went to tribunal first, that's how INEC would have deleted the evidence and will now come to the tribunal to say that it never existed? Same way INEC paid some influencers in 2019 to trend "No Server, Atiku is not coming" hashtags? They better shift the next election by 2 weeks so the opposition can harvest all the needed data they want from the machines 9 Likes |
