Re: GVR's Father Speaks by ejifranks(m):
It's a shame really that this cheap and evil propaganda was allowed to thrive and is been given traction by respected Yoruba leaders like Fayose.

Moreover, this notion and reoccurring narrative that seems to classify those who have fatherhood from Yoruba and motherhood from other tribes(especially Igbo tribe) as not qualified to be "Yoruba enough" sort of speaking is highly troubling.

I am worried that those pushing this narrative just for current political expediency may not see the long-term injury and prejudice of doing so to the existence and rights of other people who share the same birth circumstances with Gbadebo and may suffer unjustly in the future for an action that wasn't any fault of theirs but just a loving coupling between their parents from different tribes.

FFK who is also all over social media giving traction to these petty talks even when married to an Igbo lady who bore him sons should remember that this won't end with Gbadebo and his children's reputation may also suffer in the future if this wicked thinking is entrenched. Other numerous influential Yorubas with mixed parental backgrounds must also speak out now or suffer the consequences in no distant time.

A real son of the soul is being insulted while migrants like Sanwolu from Ogun state and Thieefnubu from Iragbiji Osun are claiming lagos as their origin.

What manner of wickedness is this?

You guys like to sensationalise issues. No one is calling GRV omo ale because of his marriage to an Igbo woman or because his mother is Igbo.

He is being called an Omo Ale because of his utterances and disposition towards Yorubas in the past which is evident in his posts before he vied for office, which he has not denied.

Out of all the major tribes it is Yorubas that intermarry with the Igbos the most. The governor of my state married an Igbo, no one has ever called him an Omo Ale, the Deji of Akure has an Igbo wife.

In Yoruba land, the word bastard is not reserved solely for illegitimate children born out of wedlock. It's also a word used to describe anyone who brings shame to his father or family, denigrates his people or behave in a manner that is short of how an Omoluabi should behave.

No true Yoruba son or daughter will refer to another as Afonja, because it is a slur word used by igbos to insult the Yorubas.

Except he denies those post of his in the past, he is nothing but an Omo Ale, Omo Ale t'oun fi owo osi juwe Ile baba re. Omo Ale jatijati!

See what GRV intends to do with Lagos obas in the link below, Let's not be foolish. This guy might be Yoruba based on his father's lineage. There is nothing Yoruba in his conduct and utterances.

That people followed Obi does not mean that all those hiding under this bandwagon movement have good intentions, GRV inclusive. Yorubas are known to be reasonable.

I have just one question for the Old Rhodes... Why can't your son speak Yoruba?.

Even some pure Igbos that I know speak flawless Yoruba talkless of your own son claiming to be a Lagosian yet can't speak language of locals in the state.

He is more tilted to his mother side which is Igbo and has been seen in Ipob rallies, even declared support for sit at home in the East every Monday.. biko we no want that kind of person to destroy and destabilize our pride which is Lagos.

Let’s start with the meaning of your own surname if you’re proud of it. Do something better with your life and take panadol or orishirishi as needed.
