We don't know. But Emefiele is a goner.

His 2 term 5year tenure ends in June so it is no brainer.

No banker should head CBN again.
Tinubu should look for people who have no stakes in the Nigerian banking industry

Nah.

The president affects everybody's life.
Just look at us under Buhari.

It's better to have a good man as president than a thief.

Access Bank Group CEO, Herbert Wigwe visits President Elect Bola Tinubu at Burdillon, Ikoyi.
It is likely going to be Mr Wale Edun wink Enough of having MD of commercial banks like Mr Emefiele as CBN gov.

We should get a brilliant, experienced patriotic Economist or someone with background in history with advanced finance/economics experience and certifications.
Commercial bank MDs are glorified traders doing boardroom politics to a large extent. CBN is far more than buying and selling. Mr Emefiele has turned to be a monumental disappointment.

Somehow, I think a south westerner may be the next CBN governor. The last was Joseph Sanusi 1999-2004 afterwards, we've had

Charles Soludo- South East

Sanusi Lamido - North West
Emefiele- South South × (2) 5year tenure. Jonathan first appointed him in 2014.

If Wale Edun emerges, be sure to hear talks of Tinubu putting his stooge there! cheesy

I trust my instincts that Tinubu is God's mandate....

Right government promote the wellbeing of her citizens but wrong government is a course. I consider the wellbeing and future of my generations. I have nothing against BAT but he's sick and not healthy enough to pilot the affairs of over 200million Nigerians

He is not an airliner let alone piloting people's life or destiny. You are misunderstanding the functionality of Governance and government for you to assume the president is the pilot of your own existence as a human being. He governs a country and make policies that will enhance and facilitate the well being and progress of the country's citizen, alies and prospects. Your own duty as a citizen is understanding what those policies are, know which role you can play and make your benefit out of it while creating avenues for others to do the same. The government won't give you handout to self sustainability, that is solely your own responsibility. Heaven knows people sell sands in this country and still make a profitable life and livelyhood for themselves and their community. Nigeria government encourages wealth and it is up to you to work on what it provides.

if there's malfunctioning government, does it affect the citizens or not, and by the way does this APC government encourages wealth or poverty? You don't tell me that I will have satisfied self sustainability through wrong government with wrong economic policies.

No way. We don’t need another south south banker as CBN governor. We need a very sound Economist of Accountant from any of SW, NC or NW to takeover as CBN governor.
what we need is sount economist and accountant irrespective of where he comes from.

That cbn post is too sensitive to be given to clowns like emefiele.

I hope tinubu uses his ability to detect talent to choose someone competent there.
