The Aworis have been in Lagos before Binis arrived.. the Binis settled in the coastal parts of Lagos while Aworis had spread not just in coastal areas but to hinterlands and they are the recognised "omo onile" in most parts of Lagos.

An Awori man won't ever agree that Binis founded Lagos and the Binis too won't dispute Aworis presence in Lagos.
