Buhari did not ban history. Yar'Adua/Jonathan government did. It was Buhari's government that restored history as a subject recently. Find out things first before throwing accusations around.

This is false, the picture up there is not Professor Saheed Aderinto but that of Professor Abideen Adeyinka Aderinto a former DVC University of Ibadan. Professor Saheed Aderinto is a professor of History at Florida International University, Miami.

But the news isn't false just mistake with the picture of Prof Saheed Aderinto. Prof Saheed Aderinto actually won the award in question, so what's false about that?

This administration is really killing tertiary education in Nigeria. It had never been so before now. Lecturers are hungry with debts. They will get promotion but the new salary will not be implemented. Even the little percentage he promised to add to their salary during the strike, upto now he hasn't implemented it. Does it mean that the President detests education? Please, the incoming government should look into education with the right attention it deserves.

Stop complaining, bend down and work! Are you only born to complain? Others are overcoming difficulties on their ways to acheive excellence, but you are still on the same spot complaining on daily basis. How long will you keep doing that?

I should start by congratulating the diligent professor. But Buhari's action is simply hypocrisy. Nigerian professors and professionals abroad are attaining greater heights because of the infrastructure and enabling environment in those countries, while professors and professionals in Nigeria are faced with numerous constraints due to disappointing national governance.
