I have this believe that most of the writers wrote things that suit their narration without being necessary sincere. Most especially the history books

I tend to stay away from all those new thought law of attraction, positive thinking, personal power etc spiritual movement nonsense because it's a pagan philosophy and unbiblical(it should be noted that some false teachers are using style to bring this kind belief system to the church in a twisted way), I've read some of these self help books in the past, figured out they're all lies from hell.
If I want to read something about spiritual self help, I pick up the bible or bible commentaries, afterall there is no help in this life or the next that can be found except in Christ alone.
