We have forwards o 🥵

Osimhen
Lookman
Moffi
Awoniyi
Onuachu
Chukwueze
Simon
Iheanacho
Sadiq
Orban
Boniface
Akpom
Sor
Olayinka

Also eligible are Nathan Tella and Folarin Balogun...

The team is top-heavy at the moment. I don't get excited anymore when a new forward hits the limelight.

Waiting to see the prospects in other depts. in dire need of quality.

Brazil went to Qatar with so many talented forwards only to get found out by a team with a superior midfield.

Ndidi,Onyedika and Iwobi are our best midfielders

I kinda disagree with the Ndidi part. He is not where he used to be plus he is prone to costly mistakes in his role
He needs competition and I don't mean a makeshift player. We need someone we can really sub him with

He holds onto the ball unnecessarily, in a competitive league like EPL, Italian or German leagues, he will frustrate his team mates.
Good prospect though

Depends on what the coach wants. Guardiola likes Grealish hugging onto the ball and drawing fouls.

If I were a coach, I will do a mourinho on him. Convert him to a creative midfielder with the eye for scoring. His take ons are sublime. Strong on the ball, confident and has accuracy with passes. Add goals to it and there you have a crazy 10 loading

I agree. Pellegrini would have done wonders with him. He looks more suited for an offensive midfield role with the liberty to attack space in the forward areas. He looks complete.

convert him to a midfielder because the national team is lean in that department or because he is best suited for that position?

What the national team is experiencing in terms of shortage of midfielders happens once in a while and he no distant that midfielders will emerge in top leagues in europe while other positions will lack capable personnels

There was a time the team lacked good strikers, right backs and left backs but today it is well covered in those positions

Only few national teams in the world can boast of been stacked in every position on the pitch

I just hope bosso will work hard in unearthing better midfielders that will be integrated to the current u20 team for the wyc proper. Young ones like the one in Milan and inter in no distant time by God’s grace and hard work will start playing men’s football

Atleast he will be a better ball carrier for the team for now

It is a matter of personal preference. If he was invited to the squad and with all the array of players we have. I don't mind him playing as an offensive and creative midfielder... yes he plays as a striker but I will shaperly use him as an option for 10 on days Iwobi doesn't show up. Better yet.... play him in front 3 by eliminating one guy that usually plays on the left side of the pitch who perpetually thinks eagles revolve around him.

I had to go back and watch that clip and realized yes I am right. He duly fits the role of a number 10. He has good vision, shoots with both feet, rugged on the ball, a goal scorer too with a knack for passing accuracy. What else are we looking for in a 10?

I remember that Ben Iroha plays as a winger in his club but as a left back in the Super Eagles. We shouldn't be fixated on what might get disrupted. It is all about results and frankly, I believe he will deliver as a 10.

Does he have the workrate required of a midfielder? And yes you are right, the Brazilian giant, Joelinton has been converted to be a midfielder after he lost his scoring boots.

this is mere assumption after watching the lad in a short YouTube clip which comprises of he’s best moments on the pitch

The boniface that I hv followed is a forward ie functions from the flanks and he’s primary position which is an out and out striker/9

Playing in the midfield in modern day football goes beyond having an eye for a pass. The same experiment that hv been tried with iheanacho countless times in the national team which he didn’t cover himself in glory

Update: Manchester United Have Joined The Race Of Signing 20-year-old Free-scoring Nigerian 🇳🇬💪🏿

According to our source, the former English Premier League Champions, want to sign Gift Orban, and still have him stay out on loan at KAA Gent.

This is coming few days after Chelsea's scout were speculated to have traveled to Belgium to see the kid in action.

mourinho will never convert a well built, physical and imposing striker like boniface to a midfielder

Mourinho love physically built number 9s and will work hard in adding aggression to the lad’s game if he has the opportunity to hv him in his team

Jose is a defensive minded coach who wants he’s players to sit back and keep shape while deploying fast wingers and a robust and pacy number 9 up front for hold up play, aerial dominance and physicality to bully defenders

This is the reason why he signed lukaku for united and when the Belgian wasn’t delivering much goals he brought in zlatan

At inter he had milito and etoo, porto he had benni, he’s first stint with chelsea he brought in drogba and during he’s return he signed costa from ATM

Spurs he had kane, Madrid he had benzema and even brought in a more physical Adebayo on loan

And now in Roma he has turned Tammy to a more physical striker than he was before

I am talking of playing style, not position. The way Boniface runs with balls, the way he passes, his shooting technique, the way he jumps to head the ball is so much like the way Yaya Toure does them.

yekini was fast but not technical

Baba was a confirmed goal scoring bricklayer 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yekini was far better than all your present strikers, except Osimhen who still need to do more to overtake him.
Osimhen can in d future become greater but he still need to score goals that will qualify us 4 WC,win us nation's cup, score over 37 goals for eagles before he can lay a legitimate claim of being greater or better than Yekin as far as nigeria football is concerned.
Osimhen can b rated higher than Yekini in world football only because he didn't get d opportunity to play in top 5, but not in Nigeria football.

Yekini is a legend,
u cannot be allowed to run him down with such adjectives.
Talk about technicality,
How many of ur present strikers will hit the ball with such technique that he uses to score free kicks, none.
Yekini's no brick layer,he was an elite striker.

stop being emotional 🤣

I never said yekini is a bad player or not a legend in 9ja or Africa just that baba was a force of nature just like Liberian legend Weah but not technical

I will never disrespect yekini but said my truth 🤣

When it comes to technicality and finesse you can’t compare yekini to other African greats like weah, etoo, drogba or even yeboah and benni McCarthy

Mk una no come for my head na just truth I talk with no sentiment 🤣
