This is funny. Instead of you to be thinking of how you want to save cost.

You're 22 so we don't really expect wise decisions. You want to leave without a proper plan? What your eyes will see, Lmao.

The money that is sharking you now. Hmm. Is your business sustainable? Constant income etc? Even if it is retrenchment.

People have moved from their fathers house to their own homes.

You'll be fine sha.

You must be joking bro..so when is not so fast or the right time to leave my parents house? when I'm 26? or 32? I'm not a fool.. I know that people who receive salary find it hard to pay rent, I don't recieve salary. i earn at least 750k a month from what I've been doing for the past 6 months and I've also made up my mind to start a side business immediately I settle down....
75k or 750k?
I advise you start the side business first and see how it goes before moving out...

Can 2M be enough for a single guy to rent a house and living comfortably in Lagos?

I'm currently living with my parents and I'll be 22 by June.. I plan on moving out of their house by the end of this year or latest, early next year (so help me my creator)...

But I'd like to know or have a rough Idea of how much I should budget to live comfortably... I've place my budget at 2M for rent and other amenities or accessories. I'll be schooling at LASU and I know the price for a decent room and parlour self con is around that kind 200-250k....so guys, please help me out.
use that money to buy 2 Plots of land for 850k each save the rest and continue staying with your parents move out by mid July or June of next year by then the lands would be worth at least 3 to 4 million combined Lagos will shock you bro be wise

Rent alone will take the whole money

Not true.
Depends on where he chooses.

There are decent 2 bedrooms for N700k.

And a single 22 YO may not even need a 2 BDF.

2m is nothing. Increase it to 20m at least.

Just kidding grin

Houses around LASU say in Iba, Okoko, igboelerin etc are relatively cheap if you want to stay within those areas.

Rent should be 300-400k max including agent and agreement.

Furnishing shouldn't be more than 800k at least for a start....

I don't think 2 million will be enough. In my own estimation you'll need like 10 million.

My advice: try and push your 750k-profit-a-month business to 2-million-profit every month; that will give you 24 million a year revenue. That way you can easily afford 10 million naira every year for your rent and expenses.

At 22, why are you rushing to leave your parents' house?

Oh, I get it. You want start carrying girls, clubbing, drinking and Living a life in the fast lane.

Nothing dey those things. Plan yourself. If you can make up to 2m now, invest it or use it to start a business.

Grow the business. When it becomes stable, you can leave your parents' house. There are no jobs out there and you cannot afford to waste money on rent because you are eager to taste a lifestyle you will still have enough of later in life.

That's what I think.

As a student, if you live decently, that fund will be enough till you graduate.

I hope you may still get support from your people.

Please how can I access offerup.com Website from Nigeria?

I will appreciate any help.

I don't mind paying for this info.

22? Itching to leave home so fast?

For your info, once you leave your parents place, you'll see that 2m is like 200k.
And you add 'live comfortable' ?

Do you have a job or business? If not,
Why not start a small business first.

People that receive salary find it a bit hard to renew rent.
Calm down. Big Things still dey ahead o.

Is 22 years not an adult? Do you know , what he might be going through living with his parents? Or the condition of where he is living ?

Is the 2 million just there or do you have a source of income that will keep bringing in more money? If you don't, you will eventually exhaust that N2million. Yes, you can get a decent place with far less than that amount, what do you plan to do with the balance from the money?

Don't you think the earlier he learns the realities of life, the better for him? OP if you have such monies at your disposal, don't hesitate. It is only in this generation and in this country that 22 is considered too young to move out and start life.

2m at hand with stable income or just 2m without hope of earning in subsequent months?

Use 700k to rent a mini flat and 1million to furnish and do other interiors.
